Little Henrietta was so sweeeeet with her big blue eyes, chubby pink cheeks and a teeny weeny button nose, and she also had a very special talent.

If she wiggled her nose at a bud, it would turn into a beautiful flower, if she frowned at an ugly slug it would slither off as fast as its slime could carry it and if she smiled at a spider, it would sit down beside her.

One summer’s day her Mummy and Daddy held a barbecue and Daddy was cooking sausages and stuff on a smoky fire in a big tin box, and there were lots of grownups there talking and laughing and being silly.

It started getting darker, there was a flash of light and a scary rumbling noise and Daddy looked up at the stormy sky and frowned.

The food was nearly ready and time for Daddy to season it but some of the pepper missed and landed on Henrietta’s nose, making her sneeze the biggest little sneeze she’d ever sneezed and suddenly … the black clouds scattered in lots of different directions and the sun beamed down from a bright blue sky.

5-Free-Summer-Clipart-Illustration-Of-A-Happy-Smiling-SunHenrietta squinted at the sun and grinned, and the sun smiled at Henrietta and winked!

It’s so nice to see her sneeze led to a positive response. People with those kinds of talents have always been so notorious for accidental moments’ provoking unfortunate catastrophes~

Awwww too cute, but I also have to thank you for the previous story about the brother & sister… you’ll never know how much that helped me & my sister-in-law & hubby. I left a comment there. I have to stop by here more often you my new friend are a genius… actually we’re old friends I loved stopping by the countries you seen, but then I had back surgery AGAIN (bummer), and my whole life got dis-ka-boob-a-lated as my grandson says! He loves making up words. I think he has a whole language to himself. hahahha Have a great day and stay safe & healthy my friend! hugs!

Not to be contrarian* to my fellow Reader/Commentationers… but I was on the edge of my seat as I read this tale of a delightful little girl.

I suspect it was the introduction of the adults… (think about the stories we’ve all enjoyed that have involved children with special abilities…. things go badly after they put in an appearance.)

No, I take it back! Fun tale.

(Though I thought, ‘the Sun winked’ which preceded a solar flare that wiped out half the population….. but that didn’t happen did it? lol)

    *yeah, right lol

    • Keith's Ramblings's avatar Keith's Ramblings June 27, 2021 / 11:06

I guess I could change this into a dark tale … but I won’t! So,no darstardly deeds or wipe outs! I’m delighted that my story drew you in – then let you go!
