There’s another world
Above the clouds
.
A perfect place we’ve yet to see
A world unknown to you and me
.
An unspoilt world
Untouched by man
‘
A world which knows not war or strife
Untainted by the needs of life
.
Above the clouds
There’s perfect peace
.
Way beyond our troubled land
Unspoilt by greed and human hand
.
There’s another world
Above the clouds
.
A world unchanged since time began
A world where nothing hides the sun
.

I’ve got 24 words to spare so here’s a joke!
Why did the white cloud idolise the black cloud? Because …
Sorry, out of words!
.
Thanks to Rochelle for hosting and to Na’ama for the picture.
Click the Statue of Frogerty to join in the fun.
I’ve written a second piece this week!

A precious thought! I noted the clouds, too, when I saw the photo — artist’s eye, I guess.
What a frustrating joke! Maybe others will leave some brilliant answers in your comments.
My first thought was with the statue, but as always I dismissed it chose to go with my second idea, clouds! As for the joke, we’ll see!
Thats a lovely poem about a place I’d love to go.
Me too Mason! Thanks so much.
You’re welcome.
A beautiful image, Keith, really beautiful. And you’ve got me scratching my head about the joke… Nice one!
That really kind of you Jenne, thank you. Scratch on!
Don’t keep us hanging, finish the joke!
NO!!! (hehe!)
😂😂😂
Your story poem reminded me of that song Willy Wonka sings in the movie. Love how you used your last words to make a joke. Your name isn’t Willy Wonka is it?
Haha, what on earth makes you think that? Cheers, Lisa.
🙂 Cheers, Keith.
Unfortunately the other world is never available to the living
Bit of a dead loss then! Thanks, Larry.
Your other world sounds lovely, but I’d rather wait a few more years before I see it!
I’ve been double jabbed so I should be ok for a year or three!
I liked your poem very much, but I fear that far to many satellites now populate the space above the clouds.
Best take a tennis racket or a fly swat with you! Cheers, Michael.
Dear Keith,
Lovely and thoughtful poem. Love the frog. And the joke…well…it still made me laugh.
Shalom,
Rochelle
I’m glad you laughed at the question because the answer’s not that funny! Thanks, Rochelle.
A comforting thought, the other world.
It has to be a better place. Thanks for dropping by.
Heaven, although i doubt it’s physically “above the clouds,” is just like that. Fun ending!
I’m sure you’re right Mimi. I certainly didn’t see it on my last plane flight!
Sounds like heaven. Although too much sun is firey… 😀
A good point Tannille, but I’m sure the angels hand out sun cream!
Your meen! I don’t have a clue about that joke but it gave me a good laugh nonetheless.
The poem is beautiful and peaceful. I always wanted a spin in orbit, just once around, but now I’m too old and unfit…(and don’t have the millions anyway).
Thanks so much. One lap does sound fun, but I don’t think I’ll bother!
Hi Keith – I think I’ll stay below them for now … my time will come to rise and shine – but not for a couple of decades at least – if I’m lucky!! Cheers and have an enjoyable gusty weekend … by the way is there an orange domed building on Bexhill beach – that I can see from E/b front? And of course if so – what is it?! Please find an answer to your joke … my black cloud yesterday was a monster dragon chasing a human … he was caught and absorbed into a bigger black cloud! Cheers Hilary
I’ll hopefully stay put for a while too!
The only building I can think of that you can see is the Colonnade. It’s actually white but it does reflect colours, especially at sunset. Here’s a link-

As for the joke, it’s nothing as exciting as your dragon! All will be revealed when I post my FF story next Wednesday but don’t get excited, it’s pretty feeble!
Thanks Keith – the thing I saw was orange, as ever orange can be, and of a more elongated flatter dome … who knows – neither of us … but thanks for having an idea … I’m off to be blown along the front – cheers Hilary
Now I’m intrigued! I’ve steered clear of the prom for the last few days for obvious reasons, but I’ll take a look later!
Good poem, Ive just seen you’ve done 2 so I was working backwards today so I’ve skipped forwards and you’ve scuppered my system.
Sorry about that! Pleased you enjoyed it though.
like they say, to dream is free. 🙂
Indeed it is. Thanks plariel.
Creative take on the prompt. The place sounds heavenly. Love the frog.
Thanks for your kind words.
A very lovely poem!
Thanks very much, Ali.
Great poem… loved the joke.. and here, I thought you’d just forgot the punch line… heheh! Have a great week, Keith!
Thanks, Bear. The joke? Answer next week!
I’ll be watching for it… Hehe!
I enjoyed the tranquillity of your vision.
Thanks so much, Penny.
Love your take on the prompt. Charming piece!
I’m pleased, thank you.
We’re doing our best to spoil it with satellites, space stations… I’m sure we’re not too many generations away from space station convenience stores.
That wouldn’t surprise me at all!
“Statue of Frogerty” ha! ha! snort!
Lovely poem, nicely done.
Delighted to have amused you subroto!
LOL at the riddle at the end. Loved the poem too. I believe there is such a place, in our hearts if nowhere else. And, that’s what matters! Now about that riddle…
I believe so too. The riddle? As they say, watch this space!
