I’ve never done this before, but I thought I’d do a follow up to yesterday’s Friday Fictioneers post!
.

.
Simon’s a bit of a poet. Syme the Rhyme we call him. I mentioned our beer was cloudy and off he went.
“There’s another world above the clouds
An unspoilt world untouched by man”.
“Shall I get Sinead the Barmaid to change them?”
“A world where nothing hides the sun.
A world where time has not begun”.
“Syme, shall I…”
“A world which knows not needless strife
Untainted by the needs of life”.
“ Simon, beer, cloudy!”
“It’s miles above our troubled land
Unspoilt by greed and human hand”.
He stopped and lifted his glass.
“Do you think beer’s a bit cloudy?” he asked.

I love your follow up to yesterday’s story. Poets do tend to get wrapped up in their versing 🙂
They do, especially him! Thanks so much, Lisa.
You’re welcome.
Ah, fromcomments I see this was part of a set.
A set of opposites! Cheers.
Ha! I get it, Beer! Good stuff, really cleverly done, Poem and comedy, smart stuff
Really pleased you enjoyed it!
Ah, you come back down to Earth to cloudy beer, what a pity.
Better than no beer!
Dear Keith,
Syme the Rhyme. It has a nice ring to it. Cheers.
Shalom,
Rochelle
Thanks, Rochelle!
I like the rhyme. Great Story this week. Have a safe one!
I’m pleased! Cheers Bear.
‘allo, he’s come back to make us laugh again!!
A cheery follow-up poem. I’d have a word about the cloudy beer though. That’ll make you sick!
Oh yes, I’m back! You’re right Mason, there’s nothing worse than cloudy beer.
Oh for sure, cloudy beer equals a long stay on the toilet!
🤢
I like Syme – an excellent character!
And here was me thinking it was going to be the answer to the riddle?
That made me laugh. Excellent.
Haha, no! Don’t worry, I’ll come up with it in time! Cheers Jenne.
Simon sounds like me when I’m writing or sharing my poetry:) Glad to have met him today for I’m come to share a bit of good news with you Keith. I published my first ebook yesterday and would love to find out what you think. The links etc. are here. It’s free to download. Cheers.

Congratulations Arti, on my way!
Brilliant! I love the meta take on your previous poem.
I’m pleased, thanks so much.
If it’s a good homebrew and there’s yeast left in: give me cloudy anytime over the commercial stuff, thank you. Great for the skin. Cheers.
Absolutely true! Now I’m thirsty.
Ha! Bit distracted. Hilarious
Just a bit! Cheers Laurie.
