My dream’s come true, I’m going to be on television!
I always knew I’d make it. After all, I’ve got looks and personality.
I considered being a weather-man, gesticulating in front of a map. ‘Severe storms for you northerners, ha-ha-ha!’
Or a newsreader! ‘Breaking news, my glass just fell off the desk and smashed!’
I’d be a great game-show host. ‘That’s the wrong answer, looooser!’
I thought of acting, but why should someone as gifted as me pretend to be someone else?
Anyway, watch ‘Streetlife’ seven-thirty tonight – that’s me leaving the shop behind some guy that’s being interviewed in the mall!

Thanks to Rochelle for hosting and providing the photo.

Lol! 10 seconds of fame.
Yes, champagne already chilling!
😆😂
The world at his feet
Absolutely Neil!
There’s still something about managing to make it onto television, even for a brief moment! I like the sound of his game show host though! 🙂
I auditioned for The Chase last year and made it through, but now because of the delays in production, I’m told I may not be on it after all! I prefer my presenter to Bradley anyway!
That’s a shame, hope it can still happen! The first script I wrote for a TV show was due to be filmed last March… it may now happen in August this year, which means by the time it actually goes out on TV it will have been 2 years since I wrote the thing!
…that’s the way it is!
Dear Keith,
Now there’s some reasoning if I ever heard it. Laughing out loud.
Shalom,
Rochelle
One of my favorite newscasters https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eMBZdGERFww
Indeed, a natural presenter if ever I saw one!
Thanks for the clip, it’s so funny! I grew up with Benny Hill’s comedic innuendo! My favourite of his TV sketches has to be Ernie, the fastest milkman in the west! See what you think! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rwa0vaR7slQ
Thanks, Rochelle
Cute. But his news anchor still makes tears roll down my cheeks. 😀
I think you should replace ‘gesticulating’ with ‘testiculating’.
This means waving your arms about while talking bollocks, and is usually accompanied by a photo of Boris.
And don’t forget, even Brando had to start somewhere…
I Ilke your suggestion, and your explanation!
If he can win an Oscar, so can I….. win something!
Photobombing …. Well, that’s one way to grab a spotlight for a while! 😀
Exactly, you never know if there’s a talent scout watching!
Haha!! I would consider that my 15 minutes of fame as well. Side note: I think you would make an excellent, against the grain game show host. I’d watch you for sure!!
Just a matter of time, keep watching!
Fingers crossed!
This reminded me so much of my stepson. He made up his mind he would be an actor. Are you taking classes? No. Have you got an agent? No. How are you going to be an actor? I’ll get discovered. This was before the internet and/or photo-bombing. Maybe he would have made it these days! A good story with character.
I have to admire his confidence. A ‘right time, right place’ situation! Thanks, Eugenia.
Ha ha – great voice! Loved this take on the photo prompt, Keith.

Thanks so much, Susan!
lol Everybody gets their 15 minutes of fame, Andy Warhol said. Or was that .15 seconds?
For the few, it’s 15 years. Me? 1.5 seconds!
Enjoy your fifteen seconds of fame!
Oh yes! Cheers Mimi
Some actor said, being the ordinary-looking guy is the hardest act.
That’s a very good point! A lot of top actors don’t even try, they just act the same person in every role – Michael Caine, Hugh Grant, Judy Dench etc etc etc!
Sometimes the people in the background have much more to offer that the people in the foreground.
Absolutely so. I often try lip reading the extras in soaps a dramas too!
That’s me, look Oh too late. I was stopped once in the street by a Tv reporter, who I recognised. I did not feature on his TV news report that evening – simply because I did not given the right answer to his debate – biased indeed.
I’m sure a lot of filtering goes on! Better luck next time James.
Trust me I was pleased not to appear on the programme.
Great story. I once was interviewed for the local newspaper. They had a huge mascot that would wander around your yard and if you confronted him you won whatever money the pot happened to have. We won $400 for our upcoming trip after my husband who spotted “Spot” wandering around in our yard confronted him and came and got me out of bed. We had our picture taken and our 15 minutes or so of fame LOL!
Wow, a celebrity visiting my blog, and a wealthy one too, I’m honoured!
That was a stroke of luck and thankfully my husband went out to see who was wandering through our yard. You had to confront them to win.
Entertaining as ever, Keith! Mind you, as a game show host Anne Robinson beat you to it with Weakest Link!
Actually, you’re spot on! She was quite vicious!
Clever story! I was on tv once, in the New Forest about 35 years ago, where I’d gone in pursuit of my runaway son. As it was only local tv, none of my friends saw it, so my moment of fame was lost for eternity!
Oh dear, I trust you found him. Shame you couldn’t record telly back then!
Yes, he certainly has “personality”! Still, he made it onto TV 🙂
The first rung on the ladder! Cheers Ali.
Twas only a very brief moment but It’s something anyone would be happy about. It’s like the way I sort of get to say hello to Peter Noone on Facebook.
I guess it is Larry!
well, he has to start somewhere. 🙂
…and that’s a pretty good start! Cheers plaridel.
Congratulations on your success. This will definitely lead to big things, big things.
Oh yes, fame beckons!
You made me smile, Ten seconds of fame. At least he did not turn and shout obscenity’s at the camera.
No, nor make any jestures! Thanks Michael.
I would enjoy a presenter like that. Amusing. Such hidden talent.
Me too! Cheers Tannille.
Refreshingly funny, Keith.
Delighted to have amused you Linda!
Hahaha such big dreams! He’ll be a star!
Guaranteed – almost! Thanks Laurie.
Chuckling on that one. Everyone has their few seconds of fame somewhere. Great story! 🙂 <3
They do but I’m not sure when my was! Thanks Bear.
The “King” of News! This made me smile. Great take on the prompt. What fun…
It’ll be all over the papers tomoow – ‘Keith spotted out shopping’!
