We should have won America’s Got Talent. How often do you see acrobatic fire eaters? We were fantastic. Okay, it could have gone slightly better but the audience loved it, especially the part where I got a bit wobbly, grabbed the backdrop and set it alight. The cheering crowd thought those handsome firefighters were part of the act!
But instead of going off in a blaze of glory the head judge, that British bloke, said it wasn’t particularly clever and anybody could do it. Why should we take criticism from someone that can’t even ride an electric bicycle without falling off?

*Incase you are unaware, Simon Cowell is currently absent from AGT having suffered a cycling accident – click HERE!

Thanks to Rochelle for hosting and to J Hardy Carroll for the picture.
Click on the Froggies to join in the fun!

Imagine how grumpy he’s going to be when they get back to making these shows again! I do prefer them when the acts go wrong, much more entertaining!
Me too Iain! They’ve replaced him on AGT which is still carrying on. Never mind, his money’s still rolling in!
It does sound like a nasty fall so I have a bit of sympathy for him, but it also feels a little like karma finally catching up with him.
Great story Keith
Thank you Sadje.
You’re welcome 😉
Dear Keith,
Great frogs. And I laughed out loud at that British bloke. 😀 Love it all.
Shalom,
Rochelle
Apparently he’s laughing about it now! Cheers Rochelle.
Funny. I am still trying to figure out how stupid you have to be to fall off a stationary bike! Or drunk.
When I first read this in the US I thought they were talking about a stationary bike. Now I see your photo and it is a three-wheeler. I don’t know which is more pathetic. That’s like my three-year old granddaughter falling off her trike. Never happens.
The three-wheeler was given to him after his accident as a joke by fellow AGT judge Howie Mandel! I bet I could fall off a trike!
Fun stuff, Keith.
And I’m just passing your place, give me a wave!
Welcome to Sassenachshire! I wondered who that was pering through my window… 👋
Great this week Keith!
Well, thank you Di!
you’re welcome!
Never cared for him either as a judge, show business personality or a cyclist. And it’s difficult to feel sorry for him.
Marmite man! I know what you mean but I confess, somewhat embarrassingly, to being a huge fan on of AGT despite being British!
Haha 😂 😂
Good one, Keith
Thanks so much Shweta.
You’re very welcome, Keith
People like him make me wonder what happened to them as they grew up so they turned out this way. Maybe he will be a bit kinder, but of course, he’s got a reputation to uphold now.
Fun story!
Not sure this minor hiccup will change him much! Cheers Mimi.
This made me smile. Thank you!
…as I hoped it might! Thanks so much Alicia
Hilarious take on the photo! 😀 I think that British bloke just got taken down big time. Strange how he makes a mint off of being crabby and rude – what an upside down world.
Indeed it is Dora! Thanks so much .
true that. 🙂
That’s what I thought! Thanks plaridel.
“Danger, Will Robinson! Danger!” Theaters afire, backs breaking, flame-juggling froggies!
The return of Lost in Space! Cheers Jade
Cheers!
Yep, I can’t stand the man either, good stuff. But I wish him no ill
Not my favourite but without him AGT, BGT and all the others wouldn’t exist!
Which would be a good thing
If the was a talent show for humorous blog posts, Keith would be finalist for sure. Well done.
You say the nicest things Bill! Thank you.
I wonder is Simon Cowell will end up on you have been framed. 🙂
A very good point! Cheers Michael.
Fun story!
Pleased you enjoyed it!
Great story, Keith! Simon is my least favorite judge, but I do wish him a full recovery.
Me too and me too! Thanks Sue
I would have voted for the fire fighters 🙂 Neat tale Keith!
I’m sure a lot would! Thanks Joy.
Well, better luck next time for them 😊
I agree! Thanks for dropping by.
What’s with the Simon bashing peeps? Cute story Keith.
Thank goodness! I’m a Cowell supporter. So many of today’s big names owe it all to him.
Great story. My sympathy for Simon is minimal because he’s just another overpsaid, self-opinionated ‘celebrity’.
Say it like it is Liz! Thanks so much.
Great story, Keith. Sim on’s injure is a bit drastic. Could’ve just gone for the humble grazed knee like the rest of us mere mortals. Always aspiring to greatness!
Best wishes,
Rowena
He doesn’t do anything by halves! Cheers Rowena.
So true!
Teehee! Clever blending of current affairs with a fun response to the prompt. I’m glad Simon Cowell seems to be recovering.
He does seem to be bouncing back! Thanks so much Penny.
This would have been a show worth seeing…after all, a fail is in the eye of the beholder…well done.
Preferably from a seat near a door! Thanks for dropping by.
Everyone has a definition of talent I guess.
Absolutely! Thanks Danny.
Fire eating acrobatics could be entertaining, until it all goes wrong. Entertaining story, Keith!
Absolutely! Not something I’d choose to eat. Thanks Brenda
Might be just me, but, I can see Rosey in this lol. Loved the tone.
Haha! It would have a lot worse if she was! Thanks so much Tannille.
Haha We can only imagine.
Oh dear, poor Simon 🙂 I mean 🙁
Fun!
HJaha! I know what you mean!
This was great and the comments about Cowell are spot on! Great take on the prompt and I loved the bit about the fire fighters.
That’s really kind of you, thanks so much.
Great fun. Agreed on Simon! LOL
Ronda
Ha! Ha! That’s a good blend of fact and fiction. I don’t mind the British Guy, I think under that exterior is a softie.
…especially when he talks about his son, little Eric.
Great story, Keith. And I, for one, think “the British Bloke” does his job extremely well. Just look at all the times he has stopped a contestant and been soundly boo-ed, then asks for a second song and the whole picture changes for the better. I’ve never seen him to be wrong. Edgy, sharp, impatient, rude? Yes, all of the above. Still, very good at what he does, and his co-judges tease him, but they all seem to love him.
My thoughts exactly Linda. AGT and BGT just aren’t the same without him right now.
Thanks for the morning chuckle, and more of them are needed.
We all need a little light relief these days! Delighted to have been of service Geri.
Oh my goodness, I wish I could’ve seen Prince if only for one time even at a distance… just to be there. What a marvelous entertainer. I saw the show that he did in the rain. It was fan-freakin-tastic!!! Nobody would ever do that, but Prince! I mean what an awesome show and when he played Purple Rain and performed it in the rain. He blew the roof off the building if it had one! hahaha Great post my new friend! Have a wonderful day! Hugs from afar, and stay safe, be healthy and don’t forget your mask!~ Have a wonderful day! hugs
It was an amazing event and one I’ll never forget. Thanks for your lovely comment – stay safe.
