…and closer to home, Scotney Castle, East Sussex,
and Petworth House, West Sussex.
…I could go on and on, but I’ll stop there!

These are some amazing places! I love the architecture and ruins. The artwork on the ceiling definitely caught my eye 🙂

The history behind them is also fascinating. Near where I live, the National Trust own Batemans, Rudyard Kipling’s home and Chartwell where Winston Churchill lived. The list goes on and on.

WOW, these places are so stately and elegant! The first thing I thought of is Biltmore Estates in Asheville, North Carolina. That’s the closest place I’ve been to that makes me think of these homes you visited. It’s pretty amazing to think someone had or has that kind of money to have such a grand place but honestly if I had that kind of money I don’t believe in a million years that I’d want a home this big.
