My friend Rosey was rushing to the railway station when she somehow snagged her skirt on a rose bush and ripped a little hole in it. Once on the train, she delved into her voluminous bag and produced a needle and thread from her emergency kit.
Just as she started stitching a fanciable young man sat in the next seat and needless to say, Rosey immediately struck up a conversation.
By the time they reached their destination, they’d had become attached – literally. Somehow, Rosey had sewn her skirt to his jacket!
Of course, she claims it was an accident – I’m not so sure.

Thanks to Rochelle for hosting and to Jean L Hays for the picture.
Prod the frog to see what’s going on!

Fun story, Keith
Thanks so much Neil.
Dear Keith,
Obviously, Rosey is one who keeps a person in stitches. 😀 Charming story.
Shalom,
Rochelle
That about sums her up Rochelle! Thank you.
Yep, an “accident”, wink, wink, nudge nudge…
…say no more! Cheers Trent.
I was sure she was going to stick him with the needle… at least this way there may be a future for them 🙂
That’s true Iain! Maybe next time!
Ha ha – I bet it was no accident! Clever Rosey. 🙂

You are probably right Susan! She is accident prone but this time I think not.
love it!
Thanks so much.
Haha! If reaching for her sewing kit was her first inclination, this was NO accident … 😉
As for Froggie — I’m sending a bandaid. Unless he’s a she, and she’s gonna fall asleep for 100 years, and needs a prince (in frog form or not …) 😉
Smart girl, Rosey. I hope they stay stitched together, since their meeting was so providential 🙂
I wouldn’t hold out too much hope Linda!
That’s funny!
Delighted to have amused you Bear!
I wonder if the stitches will hold… at least this is one way to keep a guy attached to a girl
Knowing Rosey’s luck with blokes, I doubt it! Cheers Björn
Clever!
So’s Rosey when it comes to guys!
🙂
Somehow I knew they would end up stitched together… I would have assumed his shirt to her skirt but hey…
She wasn’t sitting on his shoulders! At least, I don’t think she was. I’ll ask her…
It could have not been tucked in…😝
True. Whatever happened he probably felt a bit of a prick!
Buahaha!!!
Teehee! I was glad when I saw Rosey in the title, and she didn’t disappoint! By now, she must be very fluent in her excuses for the mishaps that happen so frequently…
Oh yes! An excuse for every event and it’s never her fault of course! Cheers Penny.
A cunning ploy!
She insists it was accidental, but I suspect you are right!
No accident, but truly an original means of getting to know someone. Nicely done.
Indeed it was! Thanks Sandra
Ha! that’s really funny, I think I may have met Rosey before in this little club, tell me i’m right?
Delighted you enjoyed it. She’s been hanging around these parts for 11 years and featured in over 100 stories so far, so yes!
Thought so, you have to get up pretty early in the morning to catch me out!!
Maybe he struck her as a nice catch
…particularly if he’s got a few buttons missing and a torn shirt or two in need of repair!
You never know, this might be the start of a beautiful friendship.
Maybe!
Who needs Tinder? Haha.
Got to love Rosey!
She has her own unique methods! Cheers Tannille
Hahaha good one Keith. Poor Rosey
I’d like to think it had a happy outcome! Thanks Laurie
That one way to find and keep your man. Great humorous piece.
It’s different, but then so is she! Cheers James
Love it. She knows what she wants and she gets it.
That’s Rosey!
Rosey is one resourceful lady. She not only carries everything that is needed in routine life with her, she also does not let go of anything that she thinks may be of use later.
So right, everything from a a broken fingernail to a punctured tyre is catered for in her emergency kit!
Rosey is so personable. I do think she stitched herself to the young man on purpose, but only Rosey knows. She’s quite the character!
Very clever of her! I love this story – I bet they will laugh at this into their old age. I love it!
Given her history with men, I wouldn’t be so sure! Thanks Nan.
Clever lady! 😉
That’s one way of describing her I suppose! Cheers Dawn
