He loved to play Scrabble, but she found it a bit boring. The other day, Friday I think it was, she grabbed a handful of letter tiles and dashed out into the garden giggling like a naughty child! He rushed after her, grabbed her from behind and folded his hands around hers.
They slowly opened them together to reveal the word forever spelt out across her palms. How romantic!
Their moment of passion was shortlived however when they realised the tiles added up to a score of thirteen. Friday and thirteen is not a good combination.
They decided to go back indoors and have a game of Clue. What could possibly go wrong?
*Clue is known as Cluedo in the UK, but as about three-quarters of my readers are from across the pond, I’ve gone for the former title!

My other story for this week’s WDYS is called The Wizard and you can read it HERE!
Perhaps they’ll find a clue in their game in how to live happily ever after ! Thanks for joining in again. Much appreciated.
I couldn’t resist it, Sadje!

Good post Keith.
Thanks so much, Di.
You’re welcome
Well, if they know the wizard they could ask him to make the curse a blessing.
Now that’s an idea!
Love the twist
Thanks, Beth!
Given the outcome of the tiles, Clue does sound like a better choice. Great twist!
…as long as no one gets murdered! Thanks, Brenda.
They’d still get 50 extra points for a 7 letter word Keith!
😃 I thoroughly enjoyed reading this one!
Oh yes! Cheers!
🙂
Hi Keith – 13 = good number! I note you’re pandering to our friends across the pond! I enjoy both Scrabble and Cluedo … cheers Hilary
A mark of respect to the majority of my readers! As for the games, me too, but I haven’t played them for years!
