I wasn’t around for the last Weekend Writing Prompt so I thought I’d have two goes at this week’s word – in the second one I used a variarion which is within the rules!
‘
I started to read From Here to Eternity several years ago, it’s such a long book that I’ve not even got half way through it yet! At this rate I’ll be I’ll be reading it for ever and a day.
.
My friend Rosey came across an evangelist in the market place the other day and he said to her, ‘come forth and you will receive eternal life’. She asked him what she would get if she came third. Typical Rosey!

Thanks to Sammi Cox for hosting the Weekend Writing Prompt

Amazing takes on the prompts, Keith. I love them both.
That’s so nice of you, Suzette.
Oh, I’ve missed Rosey. Love it.
Thanks, Denise, I’ve a feeling she’ll making a few more appearances soon!
Haha! Clever Rosey
Typical Rosey too, bless her!
Yes ❤️
🤣 love both of these especially the last one 🙌
Thanks Ange, I thought it was about time I made use of her again, it’s been a while!
Love these Keith………… and hello Rosey!
Thanks, Di – she’s waving back at you!
Yay!!
Good old Rosey! Great take, dear Keith.
Rosey’s return! Thanks so much, Nancy.
I like both of these! And the evangelist is not exactly correct, although most people use the words interchangeably, only God is eternal, having always existed and existing forever, we are everlasting, having a starting point and existing always from that point forward only.
Thanks for that, Mimi, you make an interesting point. It is a widely used expression, so I’m not blaming Rosey for the error!
both are a hoot
Toot-toot! Thanks, Beth!
humor is a delightful response…. sometimes it’s nice to read a big story slow…
