What a cheek! Okay, I’ve put on some weight of late, but to prod me in the tummy then tell me to diet wasn’t on. I don’t prod her bulbous you-know-whats and tell her they need reducing.
But, as usual I gave in. She’s so persuasive,
I’m to eat more fruit.
I’m to drink more juice.
I’m to count calories.
I’m to dispose of anything overly calorific.
I’m to photograph my grub and WhatsApp the pictures to her.
Here goes. Healthy meal – snap – send – done. One outa’ five aint bad!
Right, I’m off to the greasy spoon for a fry-up! Coming?

LOL. My doc said to eat more fruit and nuts. So, more sugar and fat? And I’ll lose weight. LOL.
You’ve given me an idea, I’m going to get myself a bar of Fruit and Nut Chocolate!
Try this simple diet approach. It worked for me.
Fast 16 hrs….eat 8 hrs. (Eating hours: Noon to 8:00 pm.) Nothing except water and black coffee or tea during the remaining 16 hours. Eat and drink whatever you want during the 8 eating hours.
Sounds good to me, especially as I’m asleep for half of the fasting hours!
If you try it, let us know how it works!
Dear Keith,
No doubt he’d take is life in his hands if he poked her you-know-what. 😉 Changing eating habits isn’t easy. I’ll admit to enjoying a greasy spoon now and again…never met a French fry (or chip, as you would say) I didn’t like. Fun take on the prompt.
Shalom,
Rochelle
He wouldn’t dare!
We all need to visit a greasy spoon now and again … or go get a pile of fish and chips on a Friday (or French fries, as you would say)!
Insouciant rebel
Too true, Neil!
That’s two new words I’ve learned today – one from you and another from CEAyr!
Made me laugh, Keith 🙂
A lot of men like bulbous you-know-whats.
I say change your number and go on with your life! hehehehe
as usual, I love your humor. On a more serious note, the character will need the fried food – and some protein – to combat this high sugar offering – the fruit is great but is sugar and OJ can be high sugar – and who knows what is in the mug…. anyhow, I like how this was a photo for accountability.
Save me a seat at that fry up! I’m right behind you.
sometimes cameras don’t work, so -)
You do realise that the salad is supposed to be instead of the greasy spoon, yeah?
Oh never mind, I like you fat and fun!
Been there, done that, and there are pics on my blog to prove it! Good take Keith.
Keith, for those of us who have been junk food junkying for our whole lives, it’s a lost cause. Why does healthy always involve torture? Love the story 🙂
If only taking the photo was a magic connection to real life! Cute story.
It will fool her until the next time she sees you. Anyway, at least it’s worth trying.
😅 I’m with you Keith let’s get a full English and tell her where to get off! 😃
