I’d been walking since sunrise.
I was a bit lost. Then I saw a sign.
‘Are you exactly where you need to be?’ it asked.
‘No’, I said. The words shuffled, came and went.
‘Where exactly you need to be?’ it asked.
‘Not here’, I said. The words shuffled, went and came..
‘You are where you need to be’, it said.
‘Are you sure?’ I asked. The words shuffled, came and went.
‘Exactly’, it said.
I was confused. ‘Where exactly are you?’ I asked the sign. The words shuffled, went and came.
‘Where you are’, it said. I gave up and wandered away.
I was still walking at sunset.
I was a bit lost. Then I saw a sign.

Cute story of confusion. This reminds me of hiking a trail on Manitoulin Island in Canada. Supposed to be a nice little loop from the parking area. Hike, hike, hike… and I find myself out on the highway. Turn around and go about half a mile when I finally see a direction marker high on a tree. Who hikes over rocky ground looking up????
Oh no! I hope your trek didn’t end with a trip!
You are too funny!
And you are too kind!
Hmm, a very confusing sign isn’t it. Have you got a GPS on your smartphone?? 😂
Good point!. Why didn’t I think of that?
Not sure if the sign is magical or A.I. Kind of reminds me of the responses an A.I. might give.
A sign of the times. I’m sure AI enjoys confusing us!
Haha! I really love this take of yours Keith. Thanks a lot for joining in.
I’m so pleased! Thank you, Sadje.
You’re very welcome Keith.
Kind of depicts how confusing life can sometimes be.
How right you are!
Such a clever take of the prompt, Keith.
Thanks so much, Eugi.
Mot welcome.
I would say it is time to put down the pint and go have a sleep… heheheheh
Put down a pint? No way!
Love this Keith!
Thanks so much, Di!
New pc?
no one ever knows for sure, do they? I have an incredibly bad sense of direction so I’m used to it, but often find other cool things along the way and always end up going where I’m meant to be eventually. I guess that’s the story of my life. in one long sentence.
I’ve got a dreadful sense of direction too! I’m pleased that yours is quite kind to you!
unless I have to be somewhere at a certain time )
He’s back! I missed your entertaining stories, dear Keith!
He sure is! What a lovely thing to say, Nancy, thank you,
It’s good to see you again. I enjoyed your story, as I knew I would.
It’s good to back where I belong! Thanks, Mimi.
A very clever and very funny take Keith and your reading of it makes it all the more funnier 😅
Thanks. Ange, that’s so nice of you.
And then it started all over again! Why put up signs to confuse. Had the sign not been there, I am sure you would have not been confused.
Love your clever, funny take, Keith.
Whoever put it there had a very strange sense of humour, stranger than mine even!
All so beautiful – even the cellar pub is special! Great photo tour!
