For Wordless Wednesday and bloghops various!

A few weeks ago I took you around the country and showed you some of the beautiful houses I’ve visited. Today I thought I’d take you inside a few of them.
The picture quality in some is not brilliant, partly because flash photography is often not permitted. However, I hope what you are about to see gives you an impression of what I saw!

Let’s start at Petworth House

Here are a few odds and ends from other houses.

Rudyard Kipling’s study at Batemans

The locked library at Sissinghurst

Finally, another library. This one’s in Wells Cathedral

Incredible to see such opulence. Thanks for the tour!
How the other half live!
Wonderful photos, Keith. Amazing oppulence and elegant style. Love the kitchen at Petworth House and the libraries: Nostrel and Rudyard Kipling’s at Batemans.
Superb share. Thanks for taking us along on your travels, Keith.
I’ve worked in quite a few large kitchens in my time as a chef but never one like that!
Thanks, Suzette.
Thanks again for the beautiful photos. Have a great Friday!
Wow! The opulence is out of this world. Beautiful homes. I just want to ensconce myself in one of those chairs in one of those libraries…
Wouldn’t that be lovely!
It would!
I cannot even imagine being able to tour these wonderful pieces of history. I love the old royals’ dramas- and anything from the 17 and 18 century- so this would be a dream come true for me! Thank you soooo much for sharing the pix.
I wish you could join me, Jodi! There are so many of these wonderful buildings, there’s no way I could ever visit them all.
I always love to see how others lived in a different time. Beautiful. I would love to see all this in person.
Thank you for hosting the Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Wordless Wednesday and rest of the week, Keith. 🙂
It’s really intersting, Sandee. It make you wonder how things will be in another couple of hundred years time!
The artworks are magnificent, thank you for continuing the tour.
My pleasure, Mimi.
wow, that art!
Mind blowing! They put my pictures to shame!
Amazing to see! Your photos are gorgeous and really captured all the grandeur.
Thanks for the tour!
Happy Wednesday, Keith!
I’m pleased you liked them, thanks so much.
Nice
What a wonderful post. I love this. Esp Churchill’s art studio and Kipling’s library. But my fav is the cellar. I wish you saw my smile as I delighted in each pic as it scrolled up!
I wish so too! I’m not surprised you liked the cellar, Lydia
The opulence, the art and architecture is amazing! I have been to four of those places in the past, and they are just as I remember them. Ha! Reading back on that I could be suggesting that I lived at the time back in the distant past!

I’m guessing you are a fellow National Trust member then – don’t worry, I got it!
What a wonderful tour of those opulent interiors! The photos are beautiful.
Opulent indeed! Thanks so much, Shiju.
It’s hard to imagine living in a place like any of those photos. How long it would take to build and decorate like they are but so very magnificent!
Just maintaining them is quite a task!
Awesome homes, or should I say houses.
Mansions even – so different from my humble loft!
Imagine the cost of their upkeep 😱
The palace is looking so amazing
Oh yes!
Beautiful architecture, amazing art, but that kitchen … WOW!
Thanks, Crow, I could just imagine them scurrying around in their aprons!
