For Wordless Wednesday and bloghops various!

A few weeks ago I took you around the country and showed you some of the beautiful houses I’ve visited. Today I thought I’d take you inside a few of them.
The picture quality in some is not brilliant, partly because flash photography is often not permitted. However, I hope what you are about to see gives you an impression of what I saw!
.
Let’s start at Petworth House

Now to Sudbury Hall

Welcome to Nostell House

Now to Kingston Lacey

Here are a few odds and ends from other houses.
Winston Churchill’s art studio at Chartwell

.
The cellar at Montisfort

.
Rudyard Kipling’s study at Batemans

The locked library at Sissinghurst

.
Finally, another library. This one’s in Wells Cathedral

Incredible to see such opulence. Thanks for the tour!

Wonderful photos, Keith. Amazing oppulence and elegant style. Love the kitchen at Petworth House and the libraries: Nostrel and Rudyard Kipling’s at Batemans.
Superb share. Thanks for taking us along on your travels, Keith.

I’ve worked in quite a few large kitchens in my time as a chef but never one like that!
Thanks, Suzette.

Wow! The opulence is out of this world. Beautiful homes. I just want to ensconce myself in one of those chairs in one of those libraries…

I cannot even imagine being able to tour these wonderful pieces of history. I love the old royals’ dramas- and anything from the 17 and 18 century- so this would be a dream come true for me! Thank you soooo much for sharing the pix.

The opulence, the art and architecture is amazing! I have been to four of those places in the past, and they are just as I remember them. Ha! Reading back on that I could be suggesting that I lived at the time back in the distant past!

It’s hard to imagine living in a place like any of those photos. How long it would take to build and decorate like they are but so very magnificent!
