Holiday, day four. Optional tour of Château d’something-unpronouncable.

Shall I? Why not, a shot of culture might do me good!

There’s the guide. Yes, I’m listening. She sounds bossy! Up goes her flag-on-a-stick and we’re off.

“In 1763 blah-blah-blah. 

Round there blah-blah-blah.

Saint so-and-so blah-blah-blah.

Up there blah-blah-blah”.

She’s such a châteaubox! She could talk the hind legs off un ânesse!

She just gave me another dirty look. Yes I’m listening. I must try to appear interested.

He took a photo, they took some photos, perhaps I should too. I’ll take a selfie. Smile!

I wish I’d stayed by the pool.

    Some of those tours do start to sound depressingly and boringly alike. Run off to a little restaurant on a side street and have yourself a snack and people watch, it’s much more interesting.
