What a holiday it was! 

We went up mountains, watched waterfalls, drank beer, walked around towns, visited a lighthouse, drank beer, went out to sea, entered churches, drank beer, ate in restaurants, enjoyed ice cream, drank beer, hiked, travelled in a cable car, drank beer, wandered around gardens, strolled around museums, drank beer, went to a distillery, learned about the island’s history, drank beer and lots more besides!

The weather couldn’t make up its mind. It was hot then cool, it was sunny, then cloudy; a couple of times it even rained. Damp with drizzle, then wet with sweat was I!

Twelve of us there were, from young to…me! Singles, couples, fit ones, not so fit ones, quiet ones, noisy ones, chatterboxes and reticent ones.

After all of that, I’m absolutely exhausted, I really need a holiday; or I could just make do with a beer or two.
