Frifics!

“I’m bored with this game Henry”, said Queen Matilda, “take them on in battle or walk away”.

“I agree dearest,” said the King, “it needs resolving”.

The King met with his Knights.

“Your Majesty,” said Sir Thomas, “the Rooks have flown, a sign of impending calamity. It’s expedient we throw down the gauntlet”.

Henry’s army faced its enemy across the valley. The Bishop, mounted upon his steed before the heavily armoured Pawns, made the sign of the cross.

“For God, King and country, go forward” commanded Sir Thomas.

The battle was quick. Henry was victorious. He faced his battle-weary soldiers.

“Checkmate” he yelled.

Prod a Froggie, if you dare, to visit the squares!

Well I know a little bit about chess, and just enough to appreciate this wonderful fiction here. Also, ona. side note, this loine reminded me of life, “take them on in battle or walk away…” because the easy, boring life is sometimes somethign to walk away from – and so I love the engagement and action you gave us
