I think this is the place. I stupidly left my glasses at home, I know it’s a blind date, but I shouldn’t have taken it literally!

I’m quite early, at least I think I am. I’ll sit here. ‘Ooh, I’m so sorry, I didn’t mean to sit on your lap!’ 

Try again. That’s better. She’ll be here soon. I wonder what she looks like. I’ll probably be wondering that all evening!

Ah, a waitress.

‘A beer please. You’re not a waitress? Oh, you’re my date! Sorry, I’m John you must be Jane. How are you, erm, where are you?
