Gorgeous, dear Keith! The cathedral was stunning and I always love seeing pretty colorful houses on the waterfront. Amazing shots of the Northern Lights! That must have been incredibly exciting. Thanks for the share!

Great photos Keith. I love the interior of Nidaros Cathedral! Spectacular stained glass windows and very intricate sculptures and columns. Amazing sight…The Northern Lights. And, I am guessing that spectacle is not easy to photograph at night and in the sky.. Bravo!

Thanks, Suzette! It’s a wonderful cathedral. Photograhing the Northern Lights was a bit challenging, but worth it!

I have been on some of the places, and I would loved that trip. I live longer south then your start with the bout,

    • Keith's Ramblings's avatar Keith's Ramblings December 21, 2024 / 16:01

I’m not sure I could live in the north! This time of the year the sun doesn’t even appear above the horizon!

Norway is one of my favourite places to visit. Beautiful photos and the lower sun make lovely light. Great photos of the Northern Lights. We took a private tour to see them on our last cruise before the pandemic. We saw nothing but the coach driver said everyone would have half there money refunded. I got my photos of the Lights the next night from the balcony of the ship.

I’m now tempted to retrace my steps in the summewr!

We were promised a refund if they didn’t appear too! These were also taken from the ship’s deck.

Cathedrals are nice but if you’ve seen one, the rest are all similar. She loves all the little buildings along the water with their pretty colors and unique looks that you find in Norway. The northern lights are nice. When she was a flight attendant she would go into the cockpit on night flights to Europe and get a spectacular view of them. That was before they became such a “thing” for people to look for. Norway is a beautiful country, just very expensive.

    • Keith's Ramblings's avatar Keith's Ramblings December 21, 2024 / 16:10

To observe them from the flight deck really must have been something!

I was warned about Norway being expensive, but it was even more so than I expected! Well worth shelling out for though!
