Guilty secret

I’d not walked the path for quite a while. The memory of what occurred the last time still troubled me. The shame still haunted me.

I turned a corner and there she was. How could it be?

I should have resisted, I know, but I followed her through the arch and into the garden. She meant me to, of course she did. I was unable to resist.

We strolled along the twisting track for a minute or two then she stopped and slowly turned, her beguiling eyes beckoning me. A primal urge rose within my beating heart. I knew that in a short while I’d do something I vowed I’d never do again. But the shame I’d felt last time simply evaporated along with all sense and reason. Just one kiss I’d told myself. That’s all.  But it went beyond.

Once again, I have to keep my guilty secret locked away. It will never happen again. Will it?

It’s never just one kiss, and if you take one step on the path, you won’t turn back. Well told!

A secret rendezvous at the archway. I wonder will he see her again, same place, same time next week? Nicely done, Keith.
