for Rochelle’s Friday Fictioneers on a Wednesday!

I’m lost for words, my mind’s been plunged into darkness. I have but a couple of hours to find a way in which to tell her how I feel.
Something always told me she felt the same. That neither of us dared speak of it for fear of ruining our friendship.
One last chance. If I fail, she’ll say goodbye, never knowing how much I’ve longed for us to be as one.
Beyond the gloom of my room the sun shines. Surely that’s good.
A couple of hours, that’s all, then our lives may change. For better, or for worse.

A cliffhanger Keith. What happened next?
That would be telling!
🤓
This is so beautifully written, Keith!
Thanks so nuch, Bianca.
It’s my pleasure, Keith!
What’s next?
Not a clue – I’m beginning to wish I hadn’t written in the 1st person!
I hope she reciprocates.
It was meant to be, so fingers crossed!
Is this written in the stars? Or the beginning of a stalking habit? I wonder
Stalking hadn’t occured to me! Now I’m worried!
Oh, I do hope he reads her right! Actually, I am going to choose to be positive 😉
Me too, it’s meant to be I’m sure!
I like to think so!
Wake up,, smell the coffee, get a move on, fella! 😉
That’s what I told him!
Dear Keith,
I so hope things work out the way he wants them, too. Beautifully written.
Shalom,
Rochelle
Me too! Thanks so much, Rochelle.
Intriguing story Keith. Lots of unknowns left as threads for the reader to ponder. Sunshine is always a good sign, I think!
That’s what I thought, Suzette!
Awesome! Have a good on Keith. Cheers.
The romantic in me wants them to be happy together.
Mine too, Mimi!
Sometimes you have to take the plunge. You know limbo is about as close to hell as you can get without being there.
If he doesn’t, he’ll forever wonder if it might have been.
I hope they jump into it
Me too!
Nicely written, and nicely read.
That’s most kind of you, thanks so much.
This is deliciously relatable. I’m not pins and needles…is it yes or no??
Thanks, Angela, I’m pretty sure it’s a yes!
Faint heart and fair ladies… and all that. I liked this.
Absolutely! Thanks, Sandra.
Lovely one, Keith. I’m rooting for them!
Thanks Nance, they’ll be okay, I’ll see to it!
This is a risk we all must take, love doesn’t come free. I hope he finds the courage to speak. Beautifully told.
Thanks so much, that’s so true.
Go for it,Keith – in that waistcoat you can’t lose!
Funny you should mention that, whenever and wherever I wear it, strangers come up to me and comment on it!
