…for Rochelle’s Friday Fictioneers photo prompt!

Too often, awkward moments make me shrink in my chair. I once asked someone when their baby was due. She wasn’t pregnant.
I had job interviews with two competing companies on the same day. At the first, I savagely criticised a product believing it to be their rival’s; in fact it was theirs.
I remember trying on a jacket in a clothes store. Unfortunately it wasn’t for sale, it belonged to someone who was also trying on jackets.
I sat on a friend’s inflatable chair once and it burst – it wasn’t just me that shrank!
There was the time……..

Are these all true? Hilarious!
Absolutely…….not! Cheers!
😂
The question about pregnancy- you aren’t the only one who asked it!
It’s a mistake that’s been made many a time, I’m sure!
Yes, to the embarrassment of both parties 😛😅
Hahaha! Tall about a series of faux-pas!!
Life would be dull without them!
Totally!
Awesome writing Keith. Amazing take on the prompt. Trying on someone else jacket…LOL!!!!
An easy mistake to make! Thanks so much, Suzette.
I once heard a story of a man eating a packet of crackers he had bought while waiting for a train. As he was reaching in and taking a few at a time, the man next to him started to do the same. The nerve! It wasn’t until the bag was empty and the second man left that the first man got up and grabbed his jacket to head for the train that HIS crackers appeared from under the jacket. Uh oh.
Oh, how funny! I heard once of a chap standing outside a fast food place holding some fries he’d just bought, and a couple of people helped themselves to some thinking he was giving away samples!
I once asked an acquaintance when her baby was due, only to hesr her reply it was three months old. Oops.
How embarassing!
I was asked when the baby was due………. I don’t know who was more embarrassed, me for not being pregnant or the person who’d asked.
Oh no! Embarrassment all around!
😀 I saw the funny side.
Haha! You always manage to make me laugh, Keith!
I try! Thanks, Nancy.
We’ve all had those moments, if the person has a sense of humor, s/he will just smile and let it go.
I totally agree!
love these
Thanks, Beth!
Hi Keith – I fell into that baby aspect too – really embarrassing … and I was walking around, no where near a chair! Cheers Hilary
Oh dear, not you too!
You made me laugh because all this could have happened to me too !
I doubt you would have laughed at the time! Cheers, Gattina.
