For Wordless Wednesday and bloghops various!

*As a matter of interest, I just looked back to the WW Linky for this day in 2013, and there were 295 links. You can see them HERE. Last week there were just 14! Where has everybody gone?

Usually when walking along the beach we look toward the horizon, or along the shoreline and into the distance. Yesterday I thought I’d take a closer look and this is what I saw!

OMG, it reminds me of the old days when there were Legos all over the floor!

It pays to look down. Lovely shots.

Thanks, Sadje. If you don’t you’ll never know what you’re missing.

What a gorgeous gallery of photos, Keith! Definitely worth it to look down 🙂

It is. Pebbles come in so many shapes and colours, I’ve always been fascinated by them. I often take one or two home with me, despite it being illegal!

      • Dale's avatar Dale February 7, 2024 / 18:57

They do. And I am as well… I even take sand… Shhhhhh! 😏

I looked at Wordless Wednesday Mr, Linky a while ago and noticed the same thing! Wowza quite a difference in numbers.
Love your photos of pebbles and rocks, bronze and wood. A delight to see on this snowy day here. Thank you Keith.

Just the faithful few remain! I hope you’re keeping warm, Suzette.

Many of my old friends no longer blog. They are on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram. It’s the way of things.

I love anything near the ocean. I can hear the surf and the birds. Beautiful shots.

Thank you for hosting the Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop.

Have a fabulous Wordless Wednesday and rest of the week, Keith. :)

    • Keith's Ramblings's avatar Keith's Ramblings February 10, 2024 / 12:47

Thanks so much, Sandee. Instagram certainly has poached a lot of photography bloggers!

I misunderstood your linky thing. I know what the problem is. Those folks never visit or comment on the blog links. You can’t do that and expect to survive. Sad. :)

Sandee’s right on both counts, lots of blogs are gone, and if you don’t visit those who link up with you, many just quit.

Your photos are delightful, there’s something to be seen in every direction at the shore. The sound of waves on the rocks has a subtly different quality from the sound on the white “sugar sand” beaches I’m used to.

    • Keith's Ramblings's avatar Keith's Ramblings February 10, 2024 / 12:49

Thanks, Mimi. These were taken at high tide. At low tide, the beach becomes an expanse of sand, and the waves sound very different!

Simplistic beauty of nature at its finest. Beauty is everywhere in the world if you take a moment to look for it. Love the way the shells blend in with the rocks.

Hi Keith – lots to be interested in when one is down by the shore. I particularly remember being on Godrevy beach (opposite St Ives) a tiny stream leached down to the shore from one of the very early mines … red – arsenic which coloured the shells … it’s been cleaned up now. Down here I love the groynes with all the growth around them … cheers Hilary

That is such a cool beach. The shore does look super interesting. Very cool. Love the video. Thanks for hosting and I hope that you have a wonderful week.

I love the close-up details with all the rocks and water. It reminds me a lot of our rocky coastline here.

I also like seeing the shells and other things pop out, like that rusty chain.

Happy WW and thanks as always for dropping by!

Great pics. As for the link up – 295! That’s so huge. As for the demise of blogging, for people that are still kicking around a decade or more in, it’s like you’re the only one left of your original community. It’s sort of sad. That said, my numbers have begun to spike – not sure if that’s bots crawling all over it, as no one seems to comment…also a lot more dump and run from the link ups. And you can’t build community that way. I always try to comment on host and the post before mine…at least. It’s the only way we get to know each other…

Nature is stunning in its simplicity. Beauty is all around us if we just take a moment to see it. I love how the shells mix with the rocks.

    Happy Thursday, Keith!
