Be careful Millie, you’re kicking my phone. Oh, I’ve got a call, hold on tight while I answer it. Careful now … oh, I’ve missed it. Steady Billie, you’ll knock my ear bud out. Millie, hold on to my arm while I check how my game’s going. Billie, don’t be silly, I need to concentrate on my next move. Millie, stop shouting I can’t hear what’s going on. Billie, climb down, I’ve only got two hands you can’t expect me to cling on to both of you and my phone. Millie, stop wriggling, I’m trying to find a song I like. Oh, here’s a new message coming in. Billie, stop kicking me, I need to read it. Millie, behave yourself, I have to reply.
Why don’t you two go and play on the swings and leave me and my phone in peace? That’s better. Who invented kids?

Oops! He doesn’t send too keen on the kids. Thanks Keith for joining in with this very realistic story.

Thanks, Sadje. Phone first, kids second – something I see too often in this digital age.

I’ve seen that too. We forget to be present in the moment

Might be a good idea to put said kids down in order to use his phone! This was a fun read, Keith.

I don’t think they’d stay put for long, I think he should put his phone down!

My son needs to put his phone down. Always in his hand. Even my grandson complains that Dad is always on his phone.

…but does he listen? I suspect not! Cheers, Denise.

Haha! But who’s the distraction, the phone or the kids?! Hmmm.
