I’ve never understood why unhappy humans say, ‘it’s a dog’s life’!
I lead a wonderful life! I’m pampered, overly sometimes, but I don’t mind. I get fed some delicious food without having to adhere to table manners and get given treats now and again!
I get taken for walks. I’m not always in the mood for one, but I go anyway. Pets need to treat their hosts with respect. I keep mine on a lead when we’re out and about and insist he holds it in his hand; I would want him wandering off. My favourite route is along the main street because that’s where the sweetest-smelling lamposts are.
We often go to the park. I have to run around retrieving a ball, which is a bit of a bore, but I do it out of politeness. I prefer chasing pigeons! They don’t mind, in fact, I think they enjoy it!
One of the best things about being a dog is that I can relieve myself wherever I want instead of locking myself in a toilet as humans do. I know it’s mean, but I often ‘perform’ in the most awkward places just for fun of it! Sorry if you’re eating your lunch as you read this, but I love seeing the expression on my assistant’s face when he has to gather up my you-know-what in a plastic bag!
Humans are so polite when they meet each other. ‘Hello, how are you, blah blah blah’. We dogs don’t have to suffer such formalities, we just sniff each other!
What’s today? Oh, it’s Monday, beach day, or bitch day if I’m lucky! Time to ‘wave’ you goodbye with a wag of my tail!

Ha great view from the old chap Keith, (I’m referring to the dog by the way 😄) my piece was from the dog’s perspective too and I gave it the same title too 😅

Hahaha!! You had a few really good lines in there, Keith. Had me laughing out loud, especially the part about the ‘assistants’ walking around with a plastic bag. Too funny!!
