I just got back from an amazing tour of Southern Italy and Sicily and I couldn’t wait to get writing again!
A short story for Rochelle’s Friday Fictioneers photo prompt (on a Wednesday!)

I’m having a Hamlet moment. To do or not to do, that is the question!
I’m sitting on the fence, not literally of course, but you know what I mean.
I’m considering a skiing holiday, but I don’t like the cold. Nothing worse than chilly toes and a frozen nose!
Another beach holiday’s not appealing. Last year my sunburnt skin was peeling for days!
I could take a single’s holiday. If I was on the lookout for a ladyfriend I’d be spoilt for choice! As Hamlet said, ‘fly to others we know not of’.
Mmm, to do or not to do….

Poke Froggie to join in the fun!

Sand one side and snow the other!

Loving your Hamlet moment! Welcome back!
I have them now and again! Cheers.
Don’t you have to be married to have a ‘mistress’? Just sayin…
Good point Denise. Duly corrected!
welcome home! and i say, no to the snow!
Thank you, we are on common (slippery) ground!
Poor you, having to pick among so many choices 🙂
I know, it’s not easy!
There’s always next year. Catalogues will be out soon
I can hardly wait!
So many choices. I for one am not fond of skiing trips either, as I hate the cold.
I just got back from New York, myself, which is always fun. I seem to like to split my travels between large cities and empty deserts, go figure.
I too enjoy the contrast between city breaks and nomadic wandering.
Haha! Good take Keith
Thanks, Sadje!
You’re welcome Keith
Good to see you back Keith!
Thanks, Di. My response should be, pleased to be back, but after the wonderful time I had that would be a bit of a fib!
Glad you had a good time. Still, there is something about sleeping in your own bed with your own bedding and pillows.
Welcome back, Keith. Envious of what had to have been a wonderful holiday. Cute story and cute graphic 🙂
Thank you, Lisa, it exceeded expectations. Thanks also for providing that intriguing picture!
You’re welcome, and happy to share the picture. Hey, maybe you could send a few from your trip to Rochelle for us to write to? 🙂
Ah, hamlet
Ah, indeed!
Welcome home! Have you thought about a cruise?
Thanks, Mimi. I have, and I’m still thinking!
‘To do or not to do.’ Indecision and procrastination leads to stagnation, besides you’ll miss the train for the journey of your life. Nicely told story.
That is a very good point. All aboard!
Perhaps the Orient Express.
So many options. Lucky man. You’ve shown his dilemma well.
He’ll probably make do with a trip into outer space!
Dear Keith,
Welcome back! As for me, I’ll take the beach holiday. Just pack lots of sunscreen. 😉
Shalom,
Rochelle
Thanks, Rochelle. I’d try to find a middle ground!
Ahhh yes…that familiar Hamlet moment 😉
We all have them!
You could go for a ski holiday and just stay inside by the fire and enjoy looking out the window.
Why didn’t I think of that? !!
So many choices. Go with the sunburn I say. Sounds like you did. 😀
I did and I have a tan to be proud of!
There’s no doubt as far as I am concerned – loved this excellent humorous piece!
I wonder! I’m so pleased you enjoyed it, Dahlia.
Hi Keith – surely Rosie be upset if you went without her?! So glad you had a great time – looking forward to the photos – cheers Hilary
Going to the pub with her can be a bit of an adventure, as for a trip abroad….NO! Thanks, Hilary, it exceeded my expectations.
Ha Ha …
So many questions with very little answers … I enjoyed this lil rant about
vacationing. I think once you’ve done a lot of travel, there isn’t as much excitement.
Aaahhhh … staying home and reading a good book by a fire sounds heavenly to me.
Welcome back, Keith. Hope you had a nice time.
Isadora 😎
looks like he’s got a real problem. maybe staying home would be nice for a change. 🙂
Another great take and entertaining as always! Welcome back from the land of my people, Keith! Hope you had an amazing trip! 😊
Oh the troubles we must endure when we haven’t enough to endure.
Good thoughtful story, Keith. And I’m happy your back, if you are happy to be so. 🙂
Glad you are safely home and preparing more fun for us.
Wonderful pondering.
