For Rochelle’s Friday Fictioneers (on a Wednesday!)

If I’d left two minutes earlier, I’d have caught that bus.
I’d have gone to the supermarket and bought some delicious wine, an upmarket microwave meal and a yummy exotic dessert!
Then I’d have caught the bus home again.
I’d have sat with my feet up and enjoyed a lap feast whilst watching the six-o-clock news.
Instead, I’m drinking tepid milk and eating a tasteless bowl of slop, and there’s an over-ripe banana to follow.
I’m watching the ten-o-clock news about someone who was running, tripped, fell in front of a bus and ended up in hospital.
Nurse? Bedpan, please!

Prod Froggie (gently) to see what others have written this week!

Poor guy! So many things went wrong 😅
Not the best of days!
😅
There are nurses? Televisions? This is private health care, right?
We can but dream, Neil!
The indignity of it all!
I know, it’s so embarrassing!
Oops!
Extremely oopsie!
Ha!
Thanks. This was my chuckle for the day. Not for froggie, though.
I’m pleased to hear it Denise, thank you!
*I’ve been trying to lave a comment beneath your latest post, but it won’t let me!
At least there is TV in the room, poor guy. One never knows how any day will turn out. I was thinking that just this morning in fact. Thank you Keith!
Absolutely, enjoy the moment!
Some days are just not good. But don’t give up try again tomorrow.
I totally agree!
At least he doesn’t have to cook. Poor guy.
Good point, his microwave will be pleased!
Ooh!
Very!
Ouch. Maybe next time, he’ll leave the house earlier and know not to run.
I’ll pass on your suggestion!
Hope the nurses are hot. Might be worth it if they are.
A good point!
Hahaha!! Love the punchline, Keith. Great one!
I had a sudden urgent need!
It happens! 😂
Aw, poor guy. I hope this isn’t a true story, Keith! If only is the path to so more misery. Maybe if he’d caught that bus the outcome would’ve been even worse. He’ll never know.
No, not true! But then again, you may have a point!
ah, the best-laid plans of mice and men. Poor fellow!
I know, better luck next time!
That was very unfortunate. Was it the first, second or third bus that ran you over? Since, they all arrive at almost the same time.
As they say, you wait for one and then three come at once! I’m not sure which one is was, but hopefully not all three!
Dear Keith,
To quote Chief Dan George, “Some days the magic works and some days it doesn’t?” Poor guy. Cute story though.
Shalom,
Rochelle
Isn’t that so true? Thanks, Rochelle.
Oh poor guy. I hope things get better soon.
oh no more froggie! LOL
Oh no, but I love the surprise ending. I’ve run for many a bus. I can see how it would happen. Nicely done, Keith!
Awww…too bad and that upmarket microwave meal sounds so appetizing!
Keith, I like how your story came full circle. Poor guy has to eat awful hospital food :::gag:::
The food sounds delightful. Must have gone private.
OOps lost my comment again. I’m impressed with the menu. Must have gone private.
Nicely written. Loved reading it.
