A short story for Sadje’s What Do You See? photo prompt.
.

.
.
Polly was born in that cottage. She went to school in the village. It was a wonderful childhood.
Her parents ran a little shop and Polly used to help them out in her spare time.
Going away to university was quite a wrench. She really missed her home. But it was only a matter of time before she met the man of her dreams and Polly and Paul’s new life began.
.
Jacob, their son, was born in their apartment. He went to school in the city and had a wonderful childhood.
His parents ran a business and Jacob helped them out during the holidays.
Years later Jacob met and married Julia and their new life began.
.
Polly’s parents passed away within days of each other. They left the cottage and the shop to their grandson Jacob, and Julia.
Their daughter, Charlotte, was born in that cottage. She went to school in the village. It was a wonderful childhood.
Her parents ran the little shop…….

Such a subtle message about how life is a cycle, things going around in circles. Thanks Keith for joining in.

I keep meaning to visit my birth home in Detroit. My family finally sold it in the 90s. I content myself with viewing it in Google maps.
