Harry’s such a happy chappy. In every situation, he finds something to smile about!
He knocked over his half-full glass the other day. Great, an excuse for another pint. When his girlfriend dumped him his first thought was how much money he’d save. He got the sack from his job. Was he deflated? No, he fancied a change anyway!
He can be irritating. If you are in need of sympathy, forget it. A slap on the back and a ‘cheer up mate’ is the best you can hope for.
We were at a friend’s funeral. As we sat, heads bowed listening to My Way, Harry suddenly joined in. ‘He did it his way, hahahaha!’
He has to go into hospital tomorrow. Says he’s excited about it. What’s not to like about spending all day in bed? He’s looking forward to getting grapes from his mates and being pampered by pretty nurses.
But we all know he’s putting on a brave face, the way he always does. He’ll keep smiling whatever he’s told, whatever happens. Hopefully, he’ll be okay, we all need a happy chappy in our lives.

Probably the happiest song ever written!
he always sees the sunny side of things
I envy him! Cheers, Beth.
Yes, we all need someone full of cheer. Wonderful story, Keith.
Indeed we do! Thanks, Suzette.
There is always something positive in every situation, some days you just have to look that little bit harder – I’m sure Harry will. great story Keith 😄
Absolutely so, Angela! Thank you so much.
Though I’m not a Harry sort, I do really like this tale. And what an amazing take on the prompt photo! That Smile looks like he needs some medical care.
That’s so kind of you Christine, thank you!
Excellent pairing of this story with this happy song. Thanks Keith for joining in with this lovely story
Thanks, Sadje, and thank you too for the inspirational picture.
My pleasure 🙏🏼
Oh to be as happy and positive as him. Great cheery story, Keith, well done.
Wouldn’t it be nice? Thanks, Mason!
It really would. Far nicer than having demons in your head like I do.
Cheers, Keith. Hope you’re doing well.
Sounds like a happy man and a smart fella for sure.
That’s for sure! Cheers, Patricia.
I enjoyed listening to the audio version of your Happy Chappy piece very much.
Thanks so much, I often wonder if anyone actually listens!
I’ve only just discovered your audio. It’s great.
