Normally, our seafront gardens are laid out in formal beds of summer flowers. This year, however, it was decided to do something different and celebrate the beauty of wildflowers and the bees, butterflies and creatures that are drawn to them.
Sadly, however, it has not gone down well with many of the traditionalists that inhabit our seaside town and it’s received quite a lot of negative criticism.
I for one, think it’s a fabulous idea. How about you?

Best to let them have their say & ignore them 💛
Absolutely!
I think they’re lovely
Me too, Maria!
I think these are fantastic. Love them.
I’m pleased! Thanks, Sadje.
You’re welcome
I plan on making my flower beds miniature wildflower meadows when my garden is finished, I think they’re stunning!
It’s nice to see more wildflower beds in people’s gardens these days. I’m sure you’ll enjoy yours.
And do the folks all look just like they did thirty years ago?
Many of the miserable so-and-so’s look like drooping weeds!
Absolutely lovely!! Wild flowers are perfect vistas to enjoy…in any setting.
My feelings exactly!
I think they look lovely too good captures of them 🙂
Have a wildtastic week 👍
Thanks, Steve!
I am all in for this and have gone in this direction as well – love it
That’s nice to hear Beth.
Bah Humbug to the nay-sayers! I’m wild about them! Absolutely gorgeous!!
I quite agree!
Wonderful pictures. I love to see flowers growing in wild abandon.
Thanks, Patricia. So do I and these are simply perfect.
So beautiful Keith! I can hear the bees buzzing from across the pond. 😉
They are such busy buzzers I’m hardly surprised!
Wow! I think it is splendid.
I just wish everybody did!
I think it’s more than fabulous. Wow, just wow. how could anyone complain about all this beauty?
Thank you for hosting the Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Wordless Wednesday and rest of the week, Keith. 🙂
They are an odd lot in my town, Sandee!
I think they’re lovely – and if they are drawing bees and butterflies, that’s charming!! People are so funny about change.
Absolutely. I really don’t get where they are coming from.
I think it is totally beautiful and I love it. Very nice. Thanks for hosting and I hope that you have a wonderful week.
Thanks so much.
There are some beautiful and colorful flowers in those gardens. Most people don’t adapt well to change and they fight it. They also won’t admit they may be wrong and actually like the new idea.
You make a very good point.
What a riot of colors! We’ve had some amazing wildflower blooms here this year after our winter rains. The super bloom in Carrizo Plain reminded me of the color and variety in your photos (here’s a video I put together about it https://youtu.be/Ryobxmxl1F8)
Thank you so much for adding your link, it’s a simply beautiful video and I’d recommend anyone to view it.
Thank you so much! I’m glad you enjoyed it. Please feel free to share with anyone, including here on your blog 😺
Best,
-Amanda
