…time for Wordless Wednesday and bloghops various!

I saw quite a few birds in the park yesterday.
The lakes are turning green. Apparently, it’s caused by something called Algal Bloom.

I certainly do, and you’ve added a piece of music which I absolutely adore, thank you.

Hi Keith – I don’t know … people never check things! Thanks for the sad info though … cheers Hilary
They really should! Thanks, Hilary.
great choices for a hop on this Tuesday, even with the algae
It’s actually quite colourful! Thanks, Beth.
Wonderful pictures! Swans always look so elegant! Lovely sharing. The photos have a nice relaxed vibe to them… I think. Thank you, Keith!
They do, they are so grateful. Thanks, Suzette.
The birds are beautiful and seem ok with the green stuff.
They have no problem with it whatsoever!
It screams spring/summer. Beautiful shots. I love to watch birds.
Thank you for hosting the Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Wordless Wednesday and rest of the week, Keith. 🙂
It certainly does! Thanks, Sandee.
Just lovely!
I’m pleased you like them, thank you, Lydia.
Absolutely wonderful. We don’t have a lake around here like this one, but… well, it’s called Fox River & downtown Batavia which is like ten minutes or less from me you can drive there park and see all the swans and ducks and people walking. Many times we get shows all set up down there and sometimes there’s even a band. It’s about the only fun I get these days. Being disabled I can’t really do what I use too! Oh well, but it sure is fun sometimes. I’m going to have to get my camera out again and start taking some pictures too! Have a great day my friend and take care!
At least it’s only minutes away, it sure sounds like a fun place to visit. Out with your camera, we’d all love to see some pictures I’m sure!
The wildlife don’t seem to be bothered by the algae. Beautiful photos as always.
Wordpress wants me to log in again but won’t accept anything but this old log in.
Jackie’s Photo Blog.
No, it’s not in the least. Don’t start me on WordPress, I’m sure it gets pleasure from being a pain!!
I enjoyed these a nice set of photos and even more when enlarged can see every detail 🙂
Have a quacktastic week Keith 👍
They look completely different enlarged! Cheers, Steve.
Some of the algae that we get when it is hot and dry is dangerous and can cause death if ingested at least in animals and humans. One always has to know the water before just going in yourself or with your dog. The swans are pretty.
There are signs all around the lakes warning dog owners to take care. Fortunately, the birds aren’t affected.
Lovely pictures of the birds. We have algal blooms on lakes and ponds here as well. I actually like the patches of green in small ponds, but if they get out of hand they can be harmful to aquatic life.
Thanks so much. We’ve come to expect it at this time of the year, but the patches aren’t enormous and I actually like the effect they produce.
Very lovely waterfowl. Beautiful pics. Thanks for sharing them.
Thank you, the pleasure’s mine!
Whoa, I feel like I’m in my neighborhood… hey, wait!!!! Did you come by me and take pictures? hahaha Nah, I’m sure you didn’t yours is much better, but Fox River is where I live looks just the same! How cool is that. We have ducks and Swans also… Have you ever been to Buckingham Fountain in downtown Chicago? Lots to see! Now that it’s really trouble down there until we get a new mayor I’m thinkin’!!! God bless and have a wonderful week my friend! We’re friends right? I totally love, love, love your pictures everytime there’s something new I get chills cause its so beautiful! God bless my friend and be safe, be healthy and most of all “BE”! Hugs, Marie (a.k.a. Xmasdolly!
Our neighbourhoods are about 4000 miles apart so any similarity is purely coincidental! I’ve had the pleasure of visiting Chicago and staying at the delightful Drake Hotel but somehow missed out on Buckingham Fountain. Friends indeed, thank you so much for your kind words, Marie.
Beautiful pics! I’m just glad that the birds seem to be unaffected by the algae.
Thanks, Shiju. They seem to enjoy it!
Glorious photos, Keith.
The swans are so pretty!
Have a great weekend!
Some lovely scenes in the park. Birds of all kinds enjoying the water.
