It’s time to say farewell to The Sunday Muse which is brought to us by 💜Carrie for the final time. We’ll all miss it I’m sure.

I was having a clear-out the other day and look what I found! A pile of old pictures, ones we took years ago.
Look at this! We were walking along the road with our umbrellas, ‘singing in the rain’!
And here, that’s you at a pottery class making an egg cup. The first time you used it, you tapped the egg and your precious creation broke in half!
Do you remember this? We went to that art exhibition and one of the pictures reduced you to tears. I can still see myself dabbing your cheeks.
Oh look, that’s the creepy doll your brother gave you! You once stood behind him holding it, tapped him on the shoulder and when he turned he jumped out of his skin!
So many memories, such happy times. Walking across a field of sunflowers, you, taking a parachute jump, that weird woman. A message in a bottle, the time we swapped clothes for your mate’s party, when you dressed as an angel for the school’s Christmas play; they go on and on.
This is my favourite. You and me. Sixteen years old!
Listen to me, talking to myself! You looked so pretty then. I bet you still do, wherever you are.

These are Carrie’s favourite or most viewed prompt pictures over the last few years, and that’s an old photo of mine.
*in case you are wondering, yes, that is 16-year-old me in the picture!

A lovely farewell to a great prompt, Keith. Thanks for sharing your photos!
Weekends will never be the same again!
So true…sigh!
True ! Lovely photo…I remember 1962 !
Brilliant take Keith.
Thanks so much, Sadje
Very dashing photo Keith.
I didn’t need to Photoshop myself back then!
An absolute delight, your stroll thru the years!
I’m so pleased you enjoyed it, thank you, Helen.
This is simply perfect.
That’s so kind of you, Sherry.
Great prompt
Indeed!
Is the girl still in the picture?
We lost contact when I moved up to London not long after the picture was taken. Where she is now, I have no idea.
Nice to have a picture to bring memories of times past.
This is a beautiful tribute to the Sunday Muse. I’ve always enjoyed your entries and will miss them.
That’s most kind of you, Mimi.
Such a grand tribute Keith more so having to go through the old works. You always spiced up your writings with humour which will be missed now! Thanks for the company!
Hank
The Muse may have gone, but my other favourite prompts are still going strong, thank goodness! Thanks for your generous wiords, Hank.
Being the silly sentimental girl that I am, your story had me in tears before I was even half-way through. Sublimely sketched out for us, rich in emotions and happy memories. I felt like I was there looking at the photos with you, sharing a laugh and a sigh. And I sensed a bit of reality in this one, Keith, being the silly sentimental girl that I am.
Loveliness on this Sunday morning. 🌹
Gosh, I don’t know what to say! Carrie gave us a great selection of photos and I was determined to use them all, either by drawing on personal experiences or making something up! There’s noting wrong with being sentimental, believe me!
There definitely is not! I’d rather be sentimental and emotional than stoic and unfeeling. Perhaps my nom de plume should be The Sentimental Sicilian! 🤭
Oh, this caught me right in the heart. A lovely send-off for the Muse, as well.
That’s much appreciated, thank you so much.
I love this Keith and I love how you rolled all the images together in such a delightful way! I love the collage of them at the end and your lovely photo. Thank you for your wonderful presence and kindness my friend!
Thanks for your kind words, Carrie. The delightful pictures you chose wrote the story for me!
That’s a lovely last Sunday Muse Keith 💕 and you look very cool in your shades 😎
A cool dude! Cheers, Angela.
This was a lovely tribute to The Muse and a very creative send-off.
