Philippa does come up with some odd ideas. The other day she said wanted to have some body remodelling done. When she told me what she had in mind I was gobsmacked! 

She’d found a laboratory online that offered to turn young ladies into mermaids! 

‘Botox or a boob job I can understand’ I said, ‘but that?’

‘Are you suggesting my bosoomers aren’t perfectly formed?’  she asked giving them a bit of a jiggle.

‘Of course not’ I said ‘but surely you don’t want your lower half completely changed, there’ll will be, erm, bits we’ll both miss. And anyway, you know I don’t like fish, it stinks and so will you Philippa’.

‘Shut up’, she said, ‘I’ve decided. It’s a simple procedure. The professor will pop me in a tank, add some magic potion and in seconds the transformation will be complete. Tail, scales and all’.

‘Philippa by name, flipper by nature’ I said somewhat sarcastically.

I gave up arguing and started searching on Amazon for a large aquarium.

    Might need some structural work under the floor, pour some footings, I-beams and such. That water’s going to weigh a ton!

    Well, my six year old granddaughter was going to the pool this afternoon where you dress up like a mermaid and swim around. So…., next step?

      She’d love my town’s annual Mermaid Day when hundreds of them gather on the beach to hang on to our Guinness Book of Records title for the biggest number in the UK!

    This is a nice answer to the picture, Keith. My granddaughter also liked the mermaids, taught me how to swim like one. That has all gone away, she’s a teen now.
