I love karaoke night at the pub down the road, the Frog and Toad. Last Friday I was treating my adoring fans to a moving rendition of Light My Fire when the smoke alarm went off! That just proved how hot my performance was.
The urge to sing The Lion Sleeps Tonight was but a whim away but I resisted it.
One of the regulars is a guy called Tobias Wilding. You can probably guess what he sings, Born Toby Wild! That’s the song where there’s a head out on the highway. Creepie!
Pete was there as usual. Career-wise he was always a high-climber, but unfortunately last week he got fired from his job at Pepsi when he tested positive for Coke!
Boozy Bob was there too. He was downing pint after pint and by closing time he was smashed! I suggested he came back to my place and spend the night on my sofa.
When I got up in the morning I made some coffee and went to wake him but he wasn’t there. Then I spotted him out in the garden feeding birds from my packet of very expensive muesli! I told him he’d be eating bird food for breakfast and he said that was fine because he liked eggs.
I’d love to stay and chat more but I have to go! Bye!
