Hi, I’m Leftie and that’s my twin, Rightie. A bootiful pair, don’t you think? We look after Keene Walker’s feet when he goes trekking.
Being a boot is more fun than you can imagine. We love splashing in muddy puddles and making a mess of Keene’s jeans! He took us out in the snow the other day. We slipped and slid, he couldn’t control us! Now and again we trip him up. Not so he falls over completely, but it keeps him on his toes!
At home, we live on a rack with the Slipper Sisters, the Ugly Uggs, the Trainer Twosome, the Footie Fellas and several other couples.
We see lots of our mates when we take Keene to the market. I saw lovely Lacey the other day, and the Wellies. Rightie spotted the Stilettos, ‘high, heels’ he said! Then he stuck his tongue out at a Policeman’s Pair and said ‘shoe’ to a pigeon that got in our way.
Why does footwear come in pairs? Because just like Rightie and me, they are sole mates!
