for Wordless Wednesday and bloghops various.

Here are a few of the arches I’ve encountered on my travels in Morocco, Nepal, Turkey, Dubai, Rome, Abu Dhabi, Greece, India, Peru, China and near to home, but not necessarily in that order!

I enjoyed those seeing all the different types I couldn’t help singing in my mind the song Underneath The Arches in my mind as i was scrolling through heheh!
Have an archtastic week 👍
It’s been singing in mine since I wrote it!
Nice collection
Thanks, Sadje
You’re welcome
stunning
Thank you, Beth
Your photos are magnificent. Thank you Keith for the world tour.
I’m so pleased you liked them, Susan.
Wow, that is a beautiful collection of photos of arches! Thanks for sharing! Mitch
My pleasure, Mitch!
One can’t help but marvel at the artwork and craftsmanship that went into those! Enduring for centuries, some of them. Must have been awe-inspiring to be right there!
I’ve always been fascinated by them.
Wow! Great places and great captures. Your post fits with my theme on worldbuilding. Thanks for sharing!
I’m pleased you liked them, thank you.
These are magnificent but the second one is truly stunning!
That’s the Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi, I’ve never seen anything like it anywhere in the world.
Fabulous shots. You’re such a world traveler. Excellent.
Thank you for hosting the Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Wordless Wednesday and rest of the week, Keith. 🙂
My feet are permanently itching! Thanks, Sandee.
I enjoyed your series of arches. They are all so beautifully captured.
Happy Wednesday, Keith.
I’m pleased, thanks so much, Veronica.
So many different and beautiful arches. I have been to Salisbury several times but never noticed the goat above the shop. Maybe I should look up more.
Next time Jackie! Thanks so much.
Hi Keith – stunning photographs from places you’ve visited … memories, memories, memories — such fun to see – thank you – now I know where I haven’t been! Cheers Hilary
Thank you, Hilary, I’ll never run out of places to go!
Arches are interesting on their own, but they make fabulous frames for photos too. Love that no entrance for foreigners one, not very friendly there I guess.
That is the home of the Royal Kurami of Kathmandu, a child goddess who appears in the window for a few minutes each day. If you’re interested, here’s a link –

I love all the interesting arches. So different visually, yet the same concept for a strong structure.
Indeed they are.
You certainly are well-traveled and take great pictures!
Off again in a couple of weeks!
Arches are beautiful and fascinating aesthetically and mathematically. I remember when I was a tad obsessed with them and read about them and studied the math. But it was so long ago, I’ve mostly forgotten. You have re-awakened my interest! (“No entrance to foreigners,” huh. LOL)
They are amazing, whoever came up with the idea was a genius! I explained the No Entrance one to MY GBGV LIFE up above if you are interested!
You saw many walls:) Except for Greece, Italy, and China, I have not visited the rest of these countries. Of the ones you mentioned I would like to go to Peru (because of their art and clothing). Fantastic sites! Emille
Thanks, Emille. Go to Peru! So much to see, so much to learn!
What a great collection of arches. These are all so beautifully captured!
Thanks for your kind words, Shiju.
So very beautiful. Always love your pics. Thanks so much for hosting.
That’s much appreciated, thank you.
Thanks for the historical walk, Keith. Can you point out the Turkey images for me.
One guess, the bell image is from Turkey.
Wrong! That was taken in Greece! The Turkish one is 6th from the bottom, part of the the remains of the ancient city of Phasellis. If you are interested, all my pictures of Turkey are on a WW post from 2015. https://keithsramblings.blogspot.com/2015/05/a-turkish-delight.html
Thanks for sharing this Keith.
Sending you an email tomorrow.
Did you get the mail Keith?
I did, did you get my reply?
