for Six Sentence Stories where the given word is Band.
.
.
‘One Day My Prince Will Come’ played the band as she strolled around the park, is today the day my prince will come, she wondered.
She meandered twixt beds of nodding flowers, is this a sign, she thought.
He was handsome, his dog fine-looking, and as they strolled in her direction his dog bounded up to her, he followed.
He smiled enchantingly, she smiled sweetly, is this him, she asked herself.
She gazed into his glinting eyes, he gazed into hers, could this be my prince, she mused.
‘My dog likes you’ said he, ‘what’s his name?’ she said, ‘Prince’ said he.

Still chuckling here, Keith. That’s what happens to our dreams at times. Mind you, a faithful dog is not to be sniffed at – well, not by humans anyway!

The best of Sixes are those that start with us (the Reader) raising an eyebrow, almost immediately, (such is the brief character of the form), followed by a smile.

Be careful what on wishes for, perhaps. A dog is a great friend. So not so bad, I think. Well crafted twist at the end Keith. Bravo!

Perhaps she should start by befriending the dog and see where it leads! Thanks, Suzette.

Another prince turns into a frog…or dog, as the case may be.
Another dream bites the dust.
Another star in Keith’s storytelling crown. 🙂

While you ought not judge a book by its cover, you can tell a lot about a man from his dog!

That was excellent, maybe she should take it as a sign and get a dog.
