I’m just back from my short camping trip, and couldn’t wait to get writing again, so here I present my somewhat rushed attempt to take part carried out before I‘ve even started unpacking!
For Six Sentence Stories where the given word is Form.
.
‘
She considered herself a formidable baker and had formerly won a prize or two for her cakes, bread and stuff at local events, so when she heard that the Bake Your Own Cake television competition was returning she decided to apply.
The application form required all sorts of information about herself and the cakes she’d created.
In order to conform to the rules, she was required to formulate a recipe for something that was unusual to look at yet delicious to eat, then format it in such a way that was simple to follow.
She thought she’d make six little buns that looked like her pet bunny, but her first attempt was not great as they were somewhat deformed and looked more like rats than rabbits and were anything but uniform in shape and size with one even looking infundibuliform!
Happily, her second attempt was more successful and after placing them in a circular formation she took a photograph of them and sent it off with her recipe.
Sadly I have to inform you that she didn’t make it to the programme, but true to form she’s not giving up and now intends to apply to a show called When Baking Goes Wrong!
.
Thanks to Denise at GirlieOnTheEdge for hosting.
True to form she is a persistent at her baking. Thanks Keirh for the introduction to a new word “infundbuliform”…awesome!!

I did not get the cake decorating gene.

My goodness, they are incredible! I wouldn’t want to cut into one. Don’t worry, whatever genes you lack you make up for with others only you have!

Thanks. I am really good at pulling weeds in the garden ( which is how I spent my early morning).

A great performance — for her and for you, too. I’ve been a slacker but I should reform and take part in this challenge, too. 🙂

Any buns I’d try to make would likely look more like rats than rabbits as well.

The last lot I made were more like bums than buns!

Fantastically written. I also had to look up infundibuliform. Fascinating word. How did you first it?

That’s so kind of you Nicole. I Googled a list of words that had ‘form’ within them and this was the longest so I just had to use it!

I’d say she dodged a bullet there, not having six infundbuliform buns in the oven. 😉

“infundibuliform” … funnel-y enough, I never knew that word either.
Thanks for the chuckles, Keith 😁 Hope the camping trip was good!

She’s in for some tougher competition. Let’s hope she’s able to rise up to it 😉

Nice one Keith! I bet unpacking was more uniformly done afterwards.

Fabulous Six…it reflects why I don’t enter contests, and only bake things that go in square, round or 9×13 pans. I bake for eating, not looks😉

A most formidable Six, Keith! 😁
And you, barely unpacked from your trip! Loved it.
