A few words …

…for Friday Fictioneers

.

I miss Paul. Life and soul of the party. The biggest car in the car park, the smartest bloke in the bar, and always the first to buy a round!

We were never sure how he made his money. Ask him and he’d just say he had a growing company in the leisure industry. He was clearly a canny businessman.

A few years ago he suddenly disappeared.

Yesterday there was something in the paper about a guy called Paul being released from prison. There was a picture of a dilapidated greenhouse full of weeds.

Clearly not the weed Paul grew there!

bill-r-12Thanks to Rochelle for hosting and to Bill Reynolds for the photo.

    Dear Keith,

Paul’s garden might soon be legal here in Missouri. 😉 Fun take.

    Shalom,

    Rochelle

Paul was ahead of his time it seems. Still, his experience might stand him in good stead for a law change here!

Poor Paul. I don’t like it when people get jailed for gardening. Fun story Keith

It could happen! In Michigan, weed is legal now and “pothouses” have sprouted up all over the place. So strange not to have to hide it or become a criminal anymore.

Like many, Paul was ahead of his time. But now, he can get busy growing his business and remain a free man.

Not just yet in the UK, until it’s legalised here perhaps should consider growing tomatoes or strawberries!

This was such a fun take. He should now move lock, stock, barrel and (cannabis) seeds to US.

Thanks, Natasha. Thing is, there’s more money to be made where it’s illegal!

Wonderful, fun take on the prompt, Keith. I hope Paul is back in business soon. It’s a competitive trade, but quite beneficial. 🙂

He was ahead of his time and had to pay the price. ‘Tis a sad thing, indeed! Excellent take on the prompt,Keith!
I have a friend who did time for possession and while he was under house arrest (it was a small quantity) it became legal. How is that for bad luck?

Paul was clearly stitched up by a business rival. Will he take revenge and smoke him out?

I love the description of Paul’s line of work – “A growing company in the leisure industry.”

Hahaha, poor guy. I bet he now moves to Canada. If they take him with his jailtime… such bad luck.

I’m sure it was all for medicinal purposes.
I’ll buy him a drink if I run into him.
