Beside a grave, he clutches a ballgown. His fingers trace the words carved in the cold grey slab …

She wore blue velvet.

Blooming heck, Keith, that’s dark. Mental note not to wear blue velvet in future! 🙂

I’m sure they had a wonderful life from their first dance to their last. Thanks, Sunra.

I hope all is well, Keith. Great little sad story about the wonder of memories. And a little music by the Polish Prince never hurt anyone. 🙂

It is and I trust it’s also with you. Until you mentioned it I’d forgotten that was his other name!

I’d Googled him before I responded. I recalled that his father had changed the family last name and that he started using his middle name to avoid confusion with his father, But gosh, what a song. 🙂

    Dear Keith,

Ah, I actually thought about this song when I saw the word. My bridesmaids actually did wear blue velvet. 😉 Lovely and tender story. You do have a softer side, sir.

    Shalom,

    Rochelle

One of them may well have inspired this song! I’m pleased you liked my change of style, I can occasionally do it if I put my mind to it!
