for Six Sentence Stories where the given word is Method.

The recipe looks simple enough, I’ll give it a go.
Ingredients :- all I need is a bit of this, a spoon of that, a splodge of this and a load of something with a long name I can’t pronounce.
Method :- looks straightforward, it says mix this and that with that and this, stir it, beat it, chuck it in a mixer on high speed, pour it out, bung it in a hot oven and wait a while.
Serving suggestion :- it tells me to turn it out, put it on that, sprinkle some of this, cut into bits and enjoy!
The only section the recipe doesn’t have is one about cleaning up, so I’ll have to come up with my own.
Equipment :- step ladder, hose, bucket, mop, scraper, cloths, a bin in which to tip that disgusting thing I made … oh, and a hot shower and clean clothes!
Thanks to GirlieOnTheEdge for hosting.

Haha. Good one, Keith
Thanks so much, Shweta.
Kinda what happens when Charlie wants to mix the ingredients himself. Cute.
Indeed it is! Cheers, Denise.
You shouldn’t try new recipes! 😂😂😂
I never learn!
Tut tut. 😛
Cute and clever. Charlie’s fun.
Thanks so much UP!
Man in the kitchen? (Oops, couldn’t resist).
How dare you!!!
🤐🤐🤐
I love the carefree way you’ve described this. The word choices are so exemplary – a spoon, a splodge (love that word!), a load, chuck it in, bung it etc. This so totally makes the story come alive – paints such a vivid scene in the mind. Great job! Has me totally cracking up – not only because I can appreciate the cooking/culinary style, because I’ve been here too 😅😂
Thanks so much for your lovely comment! It’s hardly an example of literary excellence but it was fun to write and apparently, for you anyway, fun to read! Must go, still got a lot to do!
have a wonderful day 😊
and literary excellence it doesn’t have to be – but wow, this exercise proves the point that well chosen word choices/vocabulary really makes or breaks a story 😅
😉
What did Thomas Edison say about now knowing 100 ways that didn’t work?
But if that’s something chocolate you could at least have licked the bowl and beaters…maybe even some of the counter… 🙂
…and the floor, and the ceiling! Yum yum! Wise man, Mr Edison.
Such fun Keith!!
Glad you liked it Di, thanks.

LOL Delightful dish ‘o fun, Keith!
Reminds me of first and last time I prepared (tried to!) Gnocchi alla Romana!
I just Googled the recipe – I can picture the scene! Thanks Denise.
That sounds like how I follow recipes. Plus hope for the best. Or procrastinate.
I sometimes wonder if people who write recipes have actually tried using them! Cheers, Frank.
It turns out that way sometimes. How about next week, just make a quick pasta sauce.
Mmmm, not sure! That could get even messier!
The step-ladder is a stroke of genius in this ‘damn the recipe’ saga, or should that be sad Aga. 🙂
A very sad Aga – you should have seen the ceiling!
That must have been quite a sandwich, me old cucumber!
You’ve never seen anything like it!
Hahahaha humours and a very fitting image to go with it.
Thanks so much for your kind words.
The best laid plans, and method of production can lead to a mighty flat cake.
Feed it to the mice, not men, and being out the heavy artillery. Let the true fun begin!
Haha, what a fitting comment! Thank you Liz.
Too funny, keith 😂
All hail the quick sandwich, and the champion of the highway – the pizza delivery guy 🙏🙏
