for Sammi’s Weekend Writing Prompt where the given word is Oasis and the limit, forty words
.

I want to write, but my mind’s a desert. An endless arid vista.
I sit, I stand, I pace. I beg for inspiration.
Nothing..
.
Then, an idea appears. And another.
An oasis satiates my thirst for words.
So I create.
.
As I’ve used up my forty words I’m afraid I can’t share my story with you, blame Sammi (only kidding!)

Always a clever way to get out of writing for the prompt! 😜
Thanks so much, Sadje!
You’re welcome! Your posts are always fun to read.
That’s so kind of you Sadje.
😍😻
We shall look forward to reading it in your next post. 😉
I wouldn’t get too excited Christine!
That’s okay, i am sure you will tell us later, on another prompt. 😉
We’ll see Mimi!
Haha. Great way to write even without an idea! 😉
But you can always complete the story in your next post
Easy way out! Cheers, Shweta.
True that! A very clever one
Hi Keith – what happened … was a whirlpool stirred up …? cheers Hilary
Something like that Hilary!
I somehow see you as a wee boy presenting the teachers with flawless excuses for wriggling out of tasks!
Neat take on the prompt, Keith.
(Actually, I imagine you were a very well-behaved boy! 😉 )
Did one and gave the impression of the other! cheers, Jenne.
Dear Keith,
Even without a story, you don’t disappoint. I can always find an oasis at your place. 😉
Shalom,
Rochelle

That’s really nice to know! Thanks so much, Rochelle,
A fun take on the prompt, Keith, with a cheeky cliff hanger at the end! Perhaps you can write the outcome incorporating next week’s prompt? 🙂
You never know Sunra! Thanks so much.
You’re most welcome 🙂
You clever player, you. Wonderfully done!
Really kind of you Dale, thanks so much.
😊
The story within (or behind) the story. Nice dodge, Keith.
By now you’ve probably written a little more.
Well … no! But thanks for reminding me!
