Hi Keith – coming back yesterday I saw ours up near Fort Fun … and thought I really should get up there to take a phot0 – especially now the weather looks to be improving … ever hopeful. I love beach huts … always fun to see … cheers Hilary

I’d like a beach hut, but nice ones cost almost as much as a flat! Those were on Cooden Beach by the way. Seems there’s some good walking weather on its way – enjoy it!

Are these the little houses at the beach where you can change clothes? they don’t have ’em here on this side of the pond.
I think I like the first one best:) Jesh

Exactly that. People entertain friends in front of them and have barbecues. They are very sought after and ridiculously expensive! Cheers Jesh.

The first photo looks like a heavy shower on the way, the second looks like a full blown storm! I really like that last effect too.

Hi Keith – I know … an arm and a leg at least! I just wonder if my father’s mother didn’t own one of those … she moved down to Ellerslie Lane – the land and her house fall within that housing development and we used to go to Cooden for the beach … in the days of the jellyfish influx in the mid to late 50s. Strange but true! She died in 1959 … and yes at last the weather has changed – though the beaches will now be heaving! Never satisfied … cheers Hilary

It’s a lovely spot if you don’t mind the trains going past. Graham Norton was recently trying to sell his huge ugly house just to the right of the huts. I don’t know if he’s succeeded.
