For ages I’ve tolerated them, noisy neighbours wrangling over this, that and the other, day and night.
There’s a black van outside now, cop cars and reporters too.
It’ll be gratifyingly quiet tonight.

I’ve had my share of neighbours like this. I moved house though, rather than anything more extreme.

We are very fortunate that ours are relatively quiet. I feel for you as there have been other times when we weren’t so lucky. Hope all is well.

You didn’t, did you?
Or did you get Rosey to do it?
Nice one, Keith

I actually had this happen next door to me. Never did find out what happened, but kinda spooky when the cops surround a house. I always meant to ask the police chief but figured I didn’t really want to know.

Oy vey … and I hope that the next neighbors won’t have a drum set and (talentless) aspirations … 😉

I have a saxophone and an electric keyboard so I have a way of getting my own back!

They didn’t do each other in, did they? Well at least it’ll be quiet now. Deathly quiet.

I’m not sure if they knocked themselves off or if I did it! Deathly quiet is a perfect conclusion. Thanks Daora.

Perfectly done, this story. (It is a story, right?) Either way, here’s to peace and quiet.

Dear Keith,
Hopefully the next neighbor will be a quiet sort. I come here for fun and am not disappointed.

Eventually, sooner or later, if you can’t keep your business quiet, it does draw attention, and often the kind you don’t want. Good story!

Hi Keith – neighbours in the time of Covid – we hope for good ones … not selfish ones .. must be awful in some places. Stay safe – Hilary

I’m probably the noisiest person in my block of flats, but I’ve no complaints so far! Cheers Hilary.

We actually built a new wall over our existing bedroom wall with sound proofing stuff in between the two because our neighbor was so loud especially in the middle of the night. 🥴

One cannot help but feel satisfied when something like this happens. Nothing worse than loud neighbours!
