A word I’d never heard before. Had to look it up. We don’t have pigeons in my town, but we have doves which sound pretty much the same.

As I write this I have a pigeon staring through the window at me! I actually had a pigeon nest on my balcony a few months ago too!

I’ve never heard of this word before. That’s an impossible word to guess

Nor me until today – thank godness for Google! It’s also a clumsy and rather ugly word. I won’t be making a comeback here!

A good way to tell us what this means. I had to google it.

Not the sort of word That just pops up in the conversation.

        I did and you’re welcome 🙂

Well done. Your tale rates five mournful coos and one small groan. 😉

Excellent. Rosey would like that word I think.

This word is new to me, too – I love where you went with it in 53 words. 😊

Is Rosey in your quiz team, Keith?
This sounds like her sorta deal…

Actually yes, but she was missing on this occasion!

    Dear Keith,

I would never have guessed. Thank you’s to Merrian and Webster for giving me a hand. 😉 Love your take.

Well, based on the meaning, i’d say, in British slang, the answer about Sally is very close!

When it comes to literary word play, Keith is masterful.

You must have been watching me yesterday.

This is not the first time Sammi has challenged my vocabulary.

You say the nicest things Bill!. She comes up with some pretty obscure words, but this time she excelled!

      • Bill's avatar Bill August 2, 2020 / 17:54

        Indeed.

Excellent take, Keith. Sammi outdid herself this week. I always look up the word, trying to find some interesting way to use it. I think it’s pretty indicative when you Google: use peristeronic in a sentence and they give you but one!!

    • Keith's Ramblings's avatar Keith's Ramblings August 3, 2020 / 12:45

Sammi certainly tested us this week! I always research words whether I know them or not, hoping to find a route less obvious!

      • Dale's avatar Dale August 3, 2020 / 13:58

That she did! I always do, too

I could say that’s a ‘cheep’ comment – but I won’t! Delighted to have amused you. Cheers s.s.
