for Sammi’s Weekend Writing Prompt where the given word is Elysian with an allowance of just 56 words.

Look at this mess. You cherubs and your abandoned toys. Good folk enter the Elysian Field only to find the Stairway to Heaven littered with plastic frogs and action men.
Dying once is bad enough, but tripping on the steps and dying again’s not on.
Get this place cleared up before the Boss sees it.
By the way, the painting is Action Figures by Edith Vonnegut.
This put a smile on my face. And thank you for introducing me to a new painter.
My pleasure!
I’m babysitting the grandkids, 2 and 5. The place is covered with legos. Like a minefield. Cute story!
Rather you than me – although I bet you’re having a great time!
Loved your take, and what an illustration!!!
I’m pleased, thank you. I’ve been waiting for a chance to use that picture for ages!
Dear Keith,
Your take on the prompt is fun and that painting is hilarious.
Shalom,
Rochelle
Delighted to have amused you, Rochelle!
Oh, yes! Clean the house!
…and get a move on! Cheers, Mimi.
Lego…hurts like Hell when you step on it and land in the fires with some of the language used.
I bet it does! Cheers.
Fun read.
Cheers Bill!
It ain’t real till you step on a lego piece in the middle of the night. Barefoot. 😉
Ouch! Cheers Na’ama.
Oh look… you managed to include a Stairway to Heaven in this one 😉
And great take!!
You noticed! I did – I moved it on a piece!
I did!! 😉
