Bob the Cobbler was a happy soul. Cob the locals called him. If your shoes needed repairing, he was your man! Shula Lacey ran a shoe shop. She and Cob had been friends for years and everyone knew one day they’d tie the knot, after all, they made the perfect pair.
She was a slip of a thing, barely five feet high. Cob was very tall, so on their wedding day, she donned the highest heels she had in her shop. ‘You look bootiful’ he whispered in her ear; for once he didn’t have to bend down!
Unfortunately, she wasn’t very good a walking in heels and as they paraded arm in arm up the aisle following the ceremony, the stumbled taking Cob with her. He flipped, she flopped and they landed in a heap on the floor! They burst into laughter and the assembled guests gave them a round of applause.
They retired a couple of years back and moved to Leatherhead where they’ll live happily ever after I’m sure.

I like how you incorporated the puns. Hopefully, they will not find themselves in a soleless marriage. 😊
