I.
I couldn’t get the birds in the picture prompts to tweet for me this morning, so I had a look back through some old avian based yarns and found one I posted back in 2017. Here goes!

Live-alone Joan always liked the idea of owning a mynah bird, they are chatty little creatures and she thought it would me nice to have something to talk to. When she heard of one needing a home, she jumped at the chance.
However it had one embarrassing habit. Whenever someone visited her, it yelled, ‘hello gorgeous, fancy a good time?’
She mentioned the problem to her priest who also had a mynah bird, only his just said prayers. A meeting was suggested; maybe his would have a positive impact on hers.
Joan took her bird to the priest’s house where the holy mynah was deep in prayer. True to form hers shrieked, ‘hello gorgeous, fancy a good time?’. The priest’s mynah chuckled. He walked over to the cage and said, ‘what’s so amusing?’ It looked to the heavens and said, ‘my prayers have just been answered’!
