He still thinks about her. He still sees her, in his dreams.
She was young, she was pretty.
He saw her here, he saw her there. He hoped she’d notice him, but she never did.
She had pink hair, and always wore a crimson dress. No matter how dull the day, how so-so the street, she’d add a little charm.
Someone wrote a fitting song. Pretty Famingo it was called. He always wondered if it was meant for her.
Then she disappeared.
Even now, many years later, he sits on the bench in town, the bench he was sitting on the last time he saw her.
Time hasn’t been kind to him. Sometimes he wonders if she’s no more than a figment of his imagination. That song still occupies his mind. Is it playing tricks with him?
‘Some sweet day I’ll make you mine, pretty flamingo’, he mutters to himself, ‘cos paradise is where we’ll be’.
But for now he still thinks about her. He still sees her, in his dreams.

Thanks so much. It is for some, I’m sure.
aw that’s so bittersweet
Thank you so much, Beth.
Poignant, and sweetest as a memory. An old lady weighing 12 stone, wrinkled, using a cane, could walk by him today and he’d never recognize her — good thing. 😉
He may look twice if she has pink hair, but I doubt he’d stop her!
Great merging of the photos, Keith!
