It was all in my head this morning. A wonderful story, perfectly crafted with lyrical sentences and illuminative words. You would have been utterly blown away by it. Unfortunately I made the all too common mistake of failing to jot down a few notes to serve as reminders before heading outside for my morning meander with mother nature.
Sadly dear reader, it will not be you that becomes blown away, for it happened to my story. As I crossed the field, a gust of wind blew into my right ear, propelling it from that on my left. Away with the breeze it went, up, up and away.
You are probably thinking to yourself, he’s away with the fairies, just coming up with a lame excuse as to why he has nothing to contribute to this Monday’s prompt. But you are wrong, for it has occurred before. I was not with the fairies, my story was. It landed in their laps and they loved every word of it. And so they shall today.
So there you have it, my story about a non-story … otherwise known as a load of non-sense!

Thanks to Sadje for hosting What Do You See?

I believe you Keith! And I’m sure the original story was as entertaining as this one. Thanks for joining in.
Thanks, Sadje, I hoped you might!
🙏🏼💕🙏🏼
Believe you I do! Sadly, it’s reached the point where I must write down my thoughts as soon as they appear or they will surely be gone when I sit at my Mac. Sometimes I will have an idea in the middle of the night. Rather than risk waking up Bill, I will scratch a few words onto the notepad I keep by the bed … without even turning on the light! It’s chicken scratch but better than nothing! 🐓
I keep my notepad handy when I’m relaxing in front of the telly, but not beside my bed. Perhaps I should! Having said that, my writing is almost illegible in daylight, how I’d manage at night I know not!
A story wrapped in a story wrapped in a story!
Perfectly put, Beth!
This is brilliantly written as always Keith. Love your non-story. Seems the key points were not blown at all.
Thanks, Suzette, it was fun making something from nothing!
I think you just described the creative muse within all forms of art.
Parts of it might blow back again when those fairies put out their recycling. 😉
That’s a good point, Christine!
That was great, Keith!

Thanks so much, Yvette!
I think I caught a whiff of it with winds blowing this way. Alas! I was too caught up with framing mine to pay heed to the story blowing in the wind.
Thanks for the smiles, Keith.
Thanks so much, I hope it didn’t disturb your thoughts too much!
I liked it!
I could wish for nothing more!
It does happen, I can attest. The big lie we tell ourselves is we’ll remember, we don’t have to write it down.
It does! I can’t imagine how many ideas I’ve had for them only to suddenly disappear!
And it was exactly the nonsense I needed to hear!
A little bit of nonsense does us good now and again!
Ha ha, can’t stop giggling. It’s so true!
I’m pleased it resonated with you, Chris!
