for Wordless Wednesday and bloghops various!
.
Over at Friday Fictioneers last week, Rochelle’s prompt was a photo of trains in a station taken by David Stewart. It made me think, (I do occasionally) – how about I rummage through my archives and find some trains I’ve snapped over the years? All aboard!
.
.
.
We’ll start in Morocco and jump on the Express to Marrakesh!

.
Now to Peru, and heading for Machu Piccho. I was in the rear carriage and took it from the window as we went round a bend in the river.

.
This was one of the many trains I’ve travelled on in India.

.
It was an overnight journey. Welcome to my sleeper cabin!

.
That’s me on the left as we tried to enter a very crowded station!

Here we are at a station in Beijing, China from where we took the bullet train to Xian.

.

.

.
Hold tight!

.
Here are my travelling companions as we waited to board an overnight train to somewhere else in China!

.
I took these from the front of a driverless train in Dubai.

,

.
Meanwhile, back in the UK, there’s a steam train in leafy Somerset.

.
…and if you look hard enough you might just make out a narrow gauge railway with a little-but-long train in the wilds of Kent!

.
Finally a picture I took an hour or so ago at the station around the corner from me! The train was bound for London town, and just for once it was on time!

.
All together now…
.
Here’s The Last Train to Linkville!

You have had such wonderful travel experiences- Thank you for sharing them with me!

We also did the Bejing to Xian – did everyone cheer when you cracked 300? It was funny. We had a few ooooh! when it got close and then dropped down and then a big cheer and applause when we cracked 300. (Weirdly when we hit 320 no one cared.) I was a little disappointed when we rode the Shinkansen it wasn’t a community experience. That said, I found the Chinese all to be about a good time. They were very fun party people. So of course even transport had to be fun! (the blue train looks amazing!!)

Everybody clapped their hands and cheered! I found the Chinese to be some of the nicest people I’ve met on my travels, always there to help when needed and never without a smile!

Nice trains are such a fun way to travel. In Germany dogs can go with you on the trains, here that is not allowed unless they are a service dog. Mom has traveled on trains a lot but not in scary places like India. She likes things neat and tidy. I got to search old trains at a nose work trial a year ago and it was a lot of fun.

That must have been fun! There would be lots to sniff on Indian trains, especially if you like curry!

That was a private sleeper cabin and I shared it with several mice! It was quite an experience!
Thanks for the song – I like it!

Most welcome, dear Keith!
I imaging mice would be wonderful traveling companions. They don’t take up a lot of space, they don’t eat much and they are very quiet. 🐭

They are great photos of the trains. We watch a lot of train journeys from all over the world on You Tube The bullet train looks weird, but it’s top speed is amazing.
